Linda and Linette, 8-8-24

I’ve obviously had a huge interruption in my blog about nothing but this one needs to be addressed again. Will you two ladies please tell us your “story” again? I apologize but now I’ve forgotten your details and many of my readers have, too.

My life has now been divided into “before diagnosis” and “after diagnosis”. Bear with me.

I’m once again sitting in the porch drinking coffee and chatting with all of you. More mowing today – it’s growing almost before my eyes!! Don’t worry – mowing is an easy job – I’ll have to wear a sweatshirt when I mow however.

I need to hear from Linda and Linette – my apologies.

Needing a sweatshirt for mowing in August, is exciting. Mowing is something you enjoy, so have a great Friday!
It is very overcast late afternoon here; the temps have been wonderful. Thanks/Take Care, 🥰

    Hi Mary,
My “story” began on January 12 of this year. My primary doctor wanted me to have a heart calcium CT scan to check my arteries. My arteries were perfectly fine but the radiologist saw a small mass on my left lung which was diagnosed as stage 3 adenosquamous carcinoma. I was scared as anyone would be, but God led me to the right oncologist who led me to the right treatment plan. I had more than half my left lung removed April 2 and then went through 4 months of chemo. In the middle of all this my adult son died in an auto accident. It’s only with God’s grace, my family’s love, and prayers by so many that I made it through. At my oncology follow-up yesterday I was declared cancer free!! I will have to take a pill for 3 years which will kill any cancer cells that try to come back. I am also so thankful for all the cards I have received already from the blog readers ❤️❤️

Linette, you are in my thoughts & prayers! Today’s medical treatments are just so amazing to me! You got this!! I am so sorry about your precious son. Love & prayers sustain us all don’t they?

My step-daughter is fighting Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. Breaks my heart.
I have had a major interruption in my life with my hubby for the last 10 months of 4 surgeries & infections. I could write a book!.. NO quilting, sob.

Mary, I am praying for you also! I am just glad you finally got someone to listen to you!

I put my cards in the mail, and this is what I had for notes to help me with writing to them both, hope they find comfort in our cards.
Linette has had tragedy in her life recently – she herself has been having chemo and 10 days ago she lost her adult son in a car accident. I have asked for her mailing address for cards

Linda in NC is also dealing with loss – her husband of 53 years passed away last week after a bowel blockage, a heart attack and a ruptured appendix. Her three daughters are helping her cope and get used to life without him. Your address, Linda?
