Thank you for sharing. It was beautiful!! My husband passed August 9th, he is buried at Miramar cemetery, was a Vietnam veteran. Our family holds every soldier close to our heart in prayer.

    1. MaureenHP

My sympathies, Ellie. I believe that those who wait at home also serve, so I thank you as well. Being a Vietnam veteran was so hard on military servicemen and servicewomen.

Joy – maybe if I can remember how to post a video I could do it again – I will try.

Thank you Mary! The music was lovely, as is your front walk way, and garden.
And God bless our servicemen who paid the ultimate price for our freedom. 🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸

The music video came through just fine and was lovely with the wind blowing the trees and your garden in the foreground. With the iris in bloom, all that was missing were the kids riding bikes decorated with RWB crepe paper and flags! Thanks for giving us the blessing of your music. Kris

Sandy – yes, it’s the same melody! Has the dog arrived? How was your holiday. (Maybe I’ve got the timing wrong?)

Loved to hear you play. I have a keyboard, but there’s nothing like a “real” piano.
Thanks Mary for all you do.

  22. Linda in MI

Thank you for the lovely sound of the piano, reminds me of my grandma playing her upwright that she cherished. Pairing it with your garden in the speckled sun with the wind gently blowing was perfect! I’m glad you were able to share it with us.

I am a day late as didn’t look at my emails yesterday. We worked on making a tray for our bed out of old
boards from my brother’s corn crib. Will put small red wing crocks in with spindles of thread. Want to get
some tiny pillows cross stitched to also add to it. Same way with the one we made on our dining room
table. Enjoyed your playing and the song from yesterday. You are an excellent pianist. We got just a sprinkle of rain so we are dry again. Thank you for finding a way so we could listen to it.

  32. Brenda

That was just wonderful. I replayed it several times, trying to remember all the words. Thanks so much for all the effort you put into letting us share!

Mary, thank you for sharing your garden and music. My Country Tis of Thee is what I chose for the prelude for our Sunday morning service. I love the song.

    1. Mary Etherington Post author

Judy – it would be a great prelude! Do you play the piano or organ?

  37. Jeanie S, Central IL

Thanks for the beautiful music and the peaceful garden video. It was lovely, Mary. 🥰

  38. Jeanine from Iowa

Thank you Mary. It was beautiful. We sang sang several patriotic songs at church Sunday, that being one of them. We are very dry in Oskaloosa. Have been watering some of my garden or it will not survive the warmer weather this week. Have a great day.

    1. Mary Etherington Post author

Jeanine – we are as dry as you right now – raining all around us and nothing is going to come up in my three garden plots! So much planting work and seed expense probably for nothing. Dang

  39. Judy - Michigan

MARY, your yard is just beautiful and your piano playing is wonderful. Thank you for this blog. I just had a chance to see it as I was on trip. Wonderful!
