My cleaning gal came today – I hope she never quits – I love getting up to a clean house!

I’m trying to play catch up on projects laying on my sewing table – so I can start on something new again. I put a couch quilt on the long arm this afternoon – here’s my helper.

I wonder what movie he’s watching
Clean piano room – finally!

Barney is bold! Here he is this morning:

ON THE TABLE!!!

So this is why barn cats don’t remain barn cats – I make friends with them in the barn and then they figure out where I go. The dog door just makes it convenient for them. Does anybody really think I go looking for cats to put in my house? Sigh.

A reader sent her $5.00 folded like this – it is so beautiful! It‘s a piece of folk art for sure and it’s going to live in a display cabinet. I just love it!!

I’ve already misplaced the reader’s name – thank you. Leave your name in the comments, please.

I got so involved watching The Lincoln Lawyer that I forgot about the State of the Union address – oh, well. You all know how I feel about politics anyway.

Good Night!

I’m laughing over Barney . We had a stray show up all banged up most of his tail missing he was a real mess but scared to death of people . We put food out for him for months . Finally one day my young grandson was here and hollered look grandma and the cat was letting him pet him . Well he hung around but still didn’t really trust us . It was getting cold and my husband says , don’t you think we should let him on the porch . We did and we also had a doggie door , that he learned how to use . We had him for 6 years at least , he was a blessing ! I still miss that cat . My husband tells people that cat came from a sewer to a king sized bed , right between us . So I think Barney is a blessing also .

Aileen – many of these poor cats need us – I’ve never once gone searching for a cat – haha! Thanks for taking him in when he needed you so badly.

I always enjoy all the pictures you post. How neat that someone took the time to fold that bill in such a manner!
The cats must intrinsically know where to go for food and care. You’re so softhearted!

Without the mention of politics……the citizens that were honored last night were many and what a testament to this country and how we love it.🥰🇺🇸

I’m totally with you, Sandra! From the USA Hockey Team to the 100-yr-old veteran, it was a night of honorees and American spirit.

Sunflower, your #4 flower quilt is beautiful. Is it applique? It looks like those petals were painted!
Barney is sure making himself at home in the house. I hope he can get along with all of the other four legged roommates. We’ve been in AZ for two weeks and have enjoyed the cool weather (highs in mid-60s). No pool lounging for us! Now Friday’s high is expected to be 93! It’s a good thing that we will be moving on to Branson early next week.

      Martha,
No my #4 UFO is a panel. I did hand quilting on this and have the perfect wall to hang it on this fall! Have a great day!🌻

you missed the hockey team !!!! And we did like the rest of the speech because we could not believe that amount of time had passed.
Those guys singing our Star Spangled Banner AND knowing all the words is a real cause for hope for our country. (toothless smiles and all )

Mortie and Barney are both adorable. I hope all goes well with him living in the house; he was probably lonely in the barn. Barney and Mortie will likely be good friends.
Ursula, the Origami heart is very cool!
Sunflower, I like your quilts and your cute pup, so sweet.

    Remember me?
I enjoy making origami shapes from money. People love them, especially when they realize they’re real money.

Ursula – I mailed your order and had already taken this origami out of the envelope. Of course I remember you but don’t remember you did origami. What I remember most is the zoo you worked at. This little heart is just so sweet!!! Thank you!!!

Hi to Ursula! What I remember is Ursula’s books! I own the original “Quilts for Baby”, and when I was librarian for my quilt guild, we had a bunch of Ursula’s books.
