Alice sent this fun idea for more quilt display. Hooks over the door and a cafe rod! Available from Amazon.

Went shopping for a new office chair – my current one is killing my back. Three furniture stores later, I still don’t have a chair – however this was the best one so far. Anybody have one like this? I hate shopping.

I know you remember FluffyBun….

Gracie and Greta are so terrified of her they won’t even come to my sewing room where FB visits from the room above the garage. FB loves me without any doubt and she is an absolutely lovely cat to me. I don’t know if I can do it or not but maybe euthanasia is the answer to my unsettled and anxiety ridden household. My good intentions to help out a friend by accepting her cat when she moved has been nothing short of major trouble and trauma for not only Gracie and Greta but Heidi and Pam, too. Not to mention me.
Did some shopping at Walmart today. Here is a sure sign of the economy. No longer a dozen cookies in this box – only 10! I also tried to buy chicken gumbo soup – I wish I had looked at the Campbells can for ounces because the cans were so small!!! Mine at home are 10.5 ounces. If that’s going to be the case every recipe that uses cans of soup will need to be adjusted. I went on to Fareway to buy the regular cans of soup. Didn’t they used to be 12 ounces? Maybe I simply don’t remember. I hate shopping.

Enough of my troubles – back to trash triangles.
Looked at eyeglass frames, too, and there was nothing even close to the pair I broke when I fell. Sigh. I hate shopping.
I will stop whining now.

Many topics to reply to…
✔️Not bragging…We’ve had our housekeeper for 14 yrs. She’s amazing. We love her!
I can’t imagine not having her in our life.
✔️Mary…I have an armless bungee chair, an IKEA molded chair on wheels, a wonderful, very comfortable Bernina red fabric adjustable chair and a 1930s (wood) Singer Sewing Machine chair (used by Singer salesmen). Love them all. Good luck on your sewing chair search!
✔️I am amazed by the amount of projects you complete with lightening speed. Then there’s your UFOs that also get to the finish line. We just moved to our new house several months ago and I’m still unpacking, sorting and hv started a (growing) pile of fabrics, quilts, kits, etc to donate to my new guild
(Parker County Quilters Guild in Weatherford, Texas) as they are in the midst of collecting such for an upcoming fundraiser. Not hard to share when you know it’s going to a worthwhile cause!
I plan on numbering the UFOs and kits that I am keeping and get them done…one-by-one!
✔️🎂 THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU…TO ALL OF [MARYS CARD WARRIORS] FOR SENDING OVER “100” BIRTHDAY CARDS TO MY 93 YEAR OLD MOTHER (Joan Ross). SO VERY APPRECIATED! 🎂
Good things,
Susie Emmons, Aledo, TEXAS
Oh, Mary please don’t euthanize beautiful Fluffy Bun. Do you have any readers, or neighbors that could take her? Gosh, she is gorgeous. If my daughter didn’t already have cats I would drive to Iowa to pick her up.
ladies i have just returned from the doctor. i want to thank you for all the bunches of cards. they are so cheerful and up lifting. thank you so much. i was even sent a turquoise/aqua crocheted heart. will have mr. ed pull out a bowl or a basin so can move them as a bunch. thay all make me smile.
i have not been able to look as much as before but i am trying. the pictures of the animals, the quilts, the decor, etc. are so spirit raising. i appreciate all the sharing that is ongoing.
i have a busy road ahead. on friday i get to have a full mri on my lower spine and another one on my upper spine (neck). both require 1.5 hr drive one way. then on tueday i get the full pet scan from head to toe. wow! followed by two days of radiation treatments. so i will busy around here. hopfully the radiation treatments will help get rid of the horridous pain. the doc gave me some advice about that today. doc did remind mr. ed ed that he is a big part of this journey also. the text two weeks will be so busy amd exhausting.
i will be trying to keep up as well as possible. getting a grip on the pain wil help and we will go from. hugs and prayers for all who need them. patti in florida
Patti, do take care and know that I am sending love your way! Hope your tests go well.
I have two of the bungee chairs, one is like the picture and the other has a high back, love them. I’ve use both for about 15 years with no problems.
My friend has a bungee cord chair and she loves it. I have several rescue cats. The don’t all get along, but the coexist. Are there any ” no kill” shelters in your area? FB is a beautiful cat, and she can’t help what she is or that the other cats don’t like her. Females tend to rule and they don’t share well.
I use the over the door hooks on double bifold doors with a dowel and use big bulldog clips to clip a sheet of sweatshirt material to it for a movable design wall. Works great.
Mary – Euthanasia is not a solution for FB. There’s someone out there who will give her a loving home who doesn’t have other animals, but you need to ask and advertise. Or, maybe you should return FB to the person you got her from. Good luck!
I got a chair free from Bernina when I bought my sewing table. It’s the best sewing chair ever!
I’m probably the only one, but bought a bungee chair at the Container Store after seeing a lot of ladies at retreat had them.
I do not care for it, after an hour the cords cut into my butt/top of my legs. I went back to my Costco secretary chair.
We adopted two cats..Buster and Scooter. They hated each other and had an issue of spraying inside. To solve the issue, Buster lived in my sewing room and had a litter box in the bathroom near my sewing room. Scooter lived in the master bedroom and had a box in that bathroom. (Opposite ends of the house). No matter what I did…Scooter hated me and ALL WOMAN. Buster loved me and anyone else. Buster only lived 7 years, he developed uncontrollable diabetes and finally had to say goodbye. Scooter lived in the master bedroom and came out after she figured Buster was no longer there. She had to be put down last Oct. at age 19. As much as I loved her….she hissed at me to her dying day. Some woman must had mistreated her, before we adopted her.
At least she loved my husband. She never was a lover or needed attention…same as my husband! They deserved each other! 🤪
I too hate shopping. My beef is now they’ve made whipping cream containers smaller. I am in Canada and they used to be 1 cup (250ml) and 2 cup (500ml). .they have downsized the container to 237ml and 473ml. It’s not much but when a recipe calls for a full cup I have to buy the larger size to get that. 13ml is just about a tablespoon. All so the companies can make a higher profit. Also ladies take a look at whipping cream the next time you buy it-it used to be the only ingredient was heavy cream. Now there are thickeners because they use milk and cream. 5 ingredients when one used to do. I’m very disappointed. There’s my rant for the day
Great idea for displaying a quilt.
I hope you can find a solution for FB. Maybe a home with no other pets is the answer. Some just don’t play well with others as you know.
I have never liked shopping. I think I am in a minority here – I do shop at Walmart. A few years ago my kids talked me into trying grocery pickup and I love it. I can plan my meals for the week and put my order together while I do that. I have had good luck with the produce they select and the best thing for me is that I don’t come home with a bunch of impulse buys that just go to waste.
Alice’s idea to hang her pretty quilt has universal appeal. Thanks Alice. Used to be cutting pieces for blocks was quite tedious. After so many quilts I must be desensitized somewhat. In fact, I am getting good at spending the time.
Mary — about finding a similar pair of glasses / frames to what you have now —
have you ever tried using Google Lens? It is an app that should be available on your phone. You simply take a picture of your glasses (or whatever you want to identify — could be a plant, an insect, a whathaveyou), and Google does an image search. I have been able to find random things this way often. It doesn’t always work, because it depends on someone somewhere uploading a picture of what you are searching for, but it works often enough to make it worthwhile to try.
Susan – I’m willing to try it!
Eleven ads today. I usually have quite a few, but usually not that many. If I refresh the page to see if there are any new comments, there are usually more ads to click.
Very windy here today but 53*. It doesn’t feel that warm with the strong winds, but the sun is shining and that helps a lot.
My husband got a shot in his back to see if they can help him with the pain he has dealt with for many years. He has to have another one, and that will determine if they can do the final one to burn the nerves. So far, the shot today has not lessened the pain. He has had shots before, and none of them have worked. This time he is going to a pain doctor to see if he can get some results there. Others have had good success. We are hoping something will help him.
I’m working with some 2.5 x 4.5″ rectangles cut from men’s shirts. I have over half of the blocks made that are needed for this quilt.
I hope Patti in FL is getting some help. She is on my prayer list.
Hi Jeanine, my hub had the ablation treatment earlier this month, Jan 2. Took a week to recuperate, and 2 weeks to feel improvement, but now he is able to sleep at night and the worst of the pain is gone during the day –unless he over-strains himself (he is an 86 yr old farmer.) I hope your husband will be able to find relief soon. Lindah
Thanks for the encouragement, Lindah. My husband is getting discouraged as it seems nothing in the past has helped him. He called the doctor’s office this morning to let them know the first shot really didn’t numb him like they had hoped. The doctor is to get back with him to let him know what the next step is.
Jeanine- you just tell him to hang in there – it might just take a bit more time but it sounds like ablation was necessary. Also tell him hi!
Mary, It’s good you let us know when things are going wrong – it happens to all of us. Shopping is a crap shoot to find the things I need. Lucky for me after our small local grocery store closed, I can go to another smaller store. The only trouble is it’s 4 miles further but I have adjusted. Walmart is the last place I will shop except for Shopko, Costco etc. Target has also gone down hill but sometimes I have to go there.
Today must be the day for things to go haywire. As I was going to quilt a smaller quilt, the bobbin was too loose and sometimes the looper must be off so it didn’t even sew. I tried EVERYTHING including new bobbin, rethreading, cleaning, new needle etc. Finally, I have up and called the greatest repairman in the twin cities and found out his hours have changed. Tomorrow, I will be making a trip to his shop. Then everything will be fine.
If you want to have an eye opener about prices, have you looked at all your insurances lately. You need to sit down first. WOW! Other than that, our weather is great today. Have a good one.
Please, please reach out on behalf of FluffyBun. There will be someone and they will be perfect for each other. When I adopted my foster/rescue Tuxie, Sophie, from a neighbor, my darling 14 year old Desi had passed three years previously. I hated being w/out a cat; but, I was planning on doing some work in my house, selling it, and buying new. Knowing how cats HATE change and chaos, I decided to wait. Then, this tiny, fluffy kitten in desperate circumstances came to my attention. The fosters wanted to keep her, but their indoor and outdoor cats would not accept her. They said the chaos was too much and if she didn’t find a home in a week she was going to the local animal shelter. This NOT a no-kill shelter. There went my plans, and home she came. Poor FB did nothing to deserve the circumstances she finds herself in and you were so good to try to help her. I am going to share your post with my friends and relatives in Iowa and Missouri.
Marlene, thank you for your ideas– I hope Mary hangs in there a little bit longer to find FluffyBun a suitable home, so there can be peace in the sewing room.
I hope you find a solution for FB that you can feel good about. It’s so hard when your pets don’t get along. My daughter gave me her used office chair and its got lots of options, from lumbar support to no arms. It’s quite the chair and like brand new, I was happy to get it and the price, free. Her company allows her to buy a new chair for her home office every so often. Lucky me! I plan to work on a young boy quilt today, something I have had packed away for a while. I really dislike UFO projects, and this one needs to be done. I shop with a list and keep it simple. I feel lucky that I can afford food, but I try to shop smartly using store sales and store card discounts.
Good morning Mary. I’ve had a bungee chair for a couple years and love it. It is comfortable to sit and sew all day with no problems. Easy to transport to a retreat because it is so lightweight. Check the prices at The Container Store. Much less than $350. I got mine on a Black Friday sale and they had free shipping. I also do not enjoy shopping. I’m limited to just a few hours a week for errands around town. I do a lot of online shopping with Amazon and grocery store pick up orders. My husband is disabled so I’m at the mercy of family to leave the house. I am getting some sewing done though, so that is a good thing. He has agreed to go to the Hospice House so I can go to a retreat in February. I am so excited. Sure am enjoying this warm Iowa weather. Happy stitching everyone.
I bought a Koala sewing chair a few years back – best purchase I’ve ever made – my most comfortable chair. It has 3 levers to adjust to exactly your body including the lumbar support. It may be more costly, but no more backaches.
Cat issues: Bonnie Hunter has the same problem but with 2 bad attitudes!!! One cat stays at the office at the inn the other lives at home in the basement sewing studio while the third as free run of the rest of the house. All are content as long as they get some attention. Basement cat is starting to come around to civility but the office cat does not share at all. I had a cat with a bad attitude too. Just needed to be in a one pet home. She was a great watch cat – attacked anyone who came into the house except the Schwan man – she loved him! I had warning signs on the doors about the attack cat. Meterman took the sign seriously.
Love the door idea for display – now why couldn’t I think of that?
Beautiful quilts from Pat C – love them because they are my style
Jamie – it sounds like the residents are being abandoned
I hate shopping too! I abhor WalMart and go there maybe half dozen times a yr. Too big. I just want to get what I want and get out.
Sad on Fluffy Bun. It works for her so doubtful it changes. Just like a human they are. I know you want them all to play well together. Tough spot to be in.
I need a new chair too so looking at those like the one you bought Mary. I have friends who have them and really like them! For that I think it will be Amazon shopping.
Hi Mary and All, Chair—at our retreat about 3 years ago two or three women had Bungee chairs. They LOVE them and take them to all retreats. I have a Bernina chair I bought in big sale and love it. The Bungee chairs were purchased from the Container Store and Amazon . When I priced them, they were about $149.00 to $199.00 depending on the store. I know they have grown in popularity so the price will be higher, but these women swear by them. Cake mixes went from 18.5 to 15.5 ounces several years ago so I add 3 ounces and adjust other ingredients to make a 9” cake! FB—Buddy and Squeak have been apart for three years! We think he (20lbs) wants to be friends, but she (8lbs) is afraid and hisses, screeches and growls🙀. I hope FB can find a one kitty home. Going to be 40* here today!!
I am also looking for an office chair for my sewing room. I live in rural south-central Iowa and try to get things I need at the 2 nearest (very small) Walmart. I looked at chairs again Sunday and passed because I want one without arms for the sewing room.
I had a mesh back office chair when I worked at the school and I loved it. Is there padding or a cushion for the chair in the photo? Would you like a padded seat?
You aren’t whining about shopping. Everything you said is true…smaller sizes and quantities, high prices, hard to find items. I hate shopping too. I used to love to shop and we used to make trips to Des Moines and spend the day but now I get the HyVee ad and shop the weekend specials and maybe go to Dollar General for something on my list. I am in and out of the stores quickly and home in 30-40 minutes. I took my neighbor with me to run errands before Christmas and she is a browser. It took 3 hours to shop in our little town. Not exaggerating! 3 Hours! That was the day I realized my shopping habits have changed a lot. I don’t browse. I have a list and stick to it so there is no reason to browse.
I bought new glasses last fall. I was overwhelmed, again probably because I am not a browser. Those big chunky frames are cute on young people but not everyone looks good in them. The girl helping me happened to be a classmate of my niece and was sweet and over the top helpful. I said I just want a pair of glasses similar to the ones I have. She went to another room and brought back several frames for me to try and I found a pair I liked. I told her I hated shopping for frames and she said that is her favorite part of her job…helping customers shop for frames.
I am like you. I have a list and I am on a “mission” to get those things and get out. My husband likes to browse, so I don’t often shop with him. When I do, I am frazzled when we are done. Nothing wrong with not wanting to spend a lot of time in a store.
Please spare Fluffy Buns. My Greta is the last stray I adopted and after two years she is still the outsider and I hear spits and hisses, Livy and Maury just avoid her but she and Bette spit at each other, so what. I figure it’s not that bad, it’s like two people who really don’t care for each other so they give each other the evil eyes. As long as they aren’t killing each other it’s ok, if they try that I can scare the begeebies out of them and maybe they will be ok. Some animals need their own space but I never fear introducing a newbie into my crew, they would feel my fear and make it worse. Please try to find a home or shelter for FB, she’s too cute to let pass.
Shopping, you can’t hate it more than I do, I can’t stand it, everything is shrinking, getting so darn expensive and you get maybe two tiny bags for $100! Then you have to haul it in the house and put it away. Hate it!
several readers have suggested rescue organizations for Fluffybun. If there is one, that might be a good alternative. Seems like she would be a good choice for a one cat only household. We have a cat like that, Rukia. She was a rescue for us, and we had another female cat. Rukia was aggressive toward the other cat for 10 years until the other female cat died. Rukia is also a black longhair.
Fluffybun is a beautiful cat.
Oh Mary please try not to do that to FB. Somehow someway there must be a solution to the problem of the cats not getting along. Please
I told my husband the other day, “I’m getting really strong! I can pick up $100 of groceries in one hand!”
Thank goodness for my quilt stash because the price of fabric is crazy.
I have a Bungee Chair for 4 years now and absolutely in love with it. I bought it without arms and if something would happen to it I would replace it with the same one immediately. I ordered mine from the Container Store. Sure enjoying this mild weather here in Iow? Unreal for January.
I’m with you on the shopping, it sucks! I remember my favorites that are no longer here and it makes me sad. I used to love Target but it gets me crazy now how everything is all over and they don’t really have much in stock. Shopping online just isn’t my thing either but it seems to all be going that way.
Sharon – after Target remodeled their store I shopped there once – only once. I used to love Target – their credit card is virtually the only one I use but I never get to take advantage of that 5%. I was forced to become a Walmart shopper.
I hear your frustration with price hikes and smaller packages on food items. It seems that the prices go up every time I go shopping. I’m afraid that, now that prices have skyrocketed on eggs, they may never go down again once they know how much people are willing to pay.
I’m still working on a red and white quilt from gifted fabric. Lots of pieces but, I’m making progress between trying to declutter my basement. An hour or so in the basement each day and then back to the quilt.
I’m one of those who does not mind shopping and I am not one who has to shop as an obsession. Like I haven’t shopped for clothes in months and need a wardrobe update cause wider leg pants are back in style. I’m short so they don’t look good on me but I’m going to attempt trying on some this spring. I’m tired of these tight legging style pants to be honest feeling comfortable when I’m sitting out at something, if I were back in my 30’s I could see myself being one of those grocery store shoppers for others cause I never mind going grocery shopping. I do get annoyed at those huge metal stacking carts Walmart pulls through the aisles shopping for orders and I am reading a label or something and I guess I’m in their way. So now i avoid those stores and shop at ones that make it more pleasant for me. I am glad the service is there for those who can’t get to a store and have fresh foods so like I say if I were younger, that would have been career calling to do for others.
Good morning! I’m up early as I couldn’t sleep, so was fun to wake up to your post. And I’m at my computer rather than on my phone so fun to be able to comment for a change.
Dad has been at St. Mary’s since last Thursday morning. He had an infection that led to severe confusion and a loss of strength in both arms and legs. He is 92 1/2. Mom met with the discharge folks yesterday and it sounds like he will not be released until tomorrow at the earliest and then will be moved to a skilled nursing facility for rehab for 2-3 weeks (at a minimum). This is a big change for the two of them but feels like what needs to happen. I’m biding my time until things are at least a little bit decided and then I’ll head up to help where I can.
You have had challenges with FB all along. You will make the right decision for FB and for you, you always do. Grant yourself some grace in all of it.
Hope you love your chair. It is hard to find one that really works, especially when you spend as much time sewing as you do. I’ve gone through a few and finally have one I like. It was one of three I used with clients in my office. If you end up not liking the bungi chair, let me know, as I could certainly bring you one of the other two I’ve got and you could try that.
Have a lovely day! We’ve had snow three times in the last week but not big amounts. Cold, too. It finally warmed up a bit with the sun yesterday and that was so welcome!
I have 2 of those chairs and love them. 1 for sewing, without arms and one with arms @ the computer. My daughter-in-laws were both having back issues at Christmas and they both went home and ordered one.
I am sewing trash triangles too. Mine finish at 1.25 and I am about ready to throw the rest away. I hate pressing them. Are you pressing open?
I am making myself do unfinished projects. Yesterday I made a 2.5 inch zip bag and cloth napkins.
We took the family on a cruise for Bill’s 70th and my 1 souvenir was a batik fanny pack from St. Maarten. The batiks are made in a converted sugar plantation.
Diane – when you make your plans to come let me know. Maybe we could meet halfway – or you could come here if you like. I’m heading back to Mayo this Thursday. Hope your dad gets released soon and does well in rehab.
I will keep you posted! Dad got released to rehab this morning and they are expecting he will be there 2-3 weeks at a minimum. Mom is anxious for me to come visit, but I need to go when she really needs help and not just a visit. So I’ll hold for a bit and see how he’s doing in a few days.
Diane – sounds like a plan. Keep in touch about this.
Shrink-flation! I first noticed it years ago when the bags of sugar went from five pounds to four pounds. My husband’s Dial soap which he has used for decades now has a skinny profile due to both top and bottom being contoured instead of flat. And the list goes on. We are so lucky to afford buying groceries but my heart goes out to those with growing families. Wanted to say thank you for the Jason Coleman suggestion. I am thoroughly enjoying his beautiful piano solos. Hope you find the perfect chair for your aching back!
Bonnie – yes, it’s been shrinking for a long time really and I always say we can afford it but what about families??? No wonder I see them with their cart full of cheap frozen pizzas which aren’t at all healthy.
Mary,
It’s not only soup and cookies. I noticed last week that a box of tissues used to have 72 tissues in a box. Now they are down to 54!
I also am not a fan of the shrinkflation. I would rather pay more if the manufacturers would leave items the same size. I am enjoying this sunny but windy day, winds are calmer now, at 4mph, in the last hour the wind was at 20mph. We have a wind gauge with a temperature gauge, we always wondered how fast the wind was, so this is looked at a lot. It is 56* and I will go outdoors now for a walk. I am working on two table runners, and a wall hanging, and also a pillow. When I get them done, I will send a photo. These are UFO’s. Still have two sampler quilts to get the binding on. Also going to add some bird seed to a couple bird feeders. The bird population sure has dwindled.
Hi Mary,
A few years ago I bought the bungee chair without the arms so that I could easily transport it to retreats. It fits easily upside down on the backseat (like we used to put our chairs on our dests at the end of a school day) and it is lightweight enough that I can manage it myself. Game changer. Sitting long hours on a generic chair at retreats killed my back. My friend has one and she swapped out the wheels for larger ones so it moves easier on carpet. I hope you love yours.
I sew at a friend’s house once a month and she has one of the bungee chairs. When I am lucky enough to snag it I like it!
Ragbrai came through DM in 2023. They came straight down by our house. We had about 300 overnight guests in our neighborhood. They had a band and food trucks, but all we saw was some of the riders walking our streets and they were gone early the next day. For only being one street down and people camping all over, they were a quiet bunch. I don’t think they are all like that. Many want a party, and thankfully those folks went somewhere else in DM.
I feel your frustration for FB. My Pepper only likes me and she’s been quite destructive with her clawing my furniture and carpet. She also scratches her neck almost raw at times. Been to the vet so many times, but just a change in food – which didn’t help. My husband is so anti Pepper, but I’ve never given up on a cat. What to do?
Warm weather is here for a bit – possible rain Thursday. Having furniture delivered so hope it holds off till the pm. Painters were here yesterday, carpet on Wednesday. My little bit of excitement in January.
We had a very nervous cat who would lick her stomach raw. I made her a little sweater, very easily done, out of a sock which totally stopped the issue and I do believe she liked her sock/sweater. Perhaps a little sweater sock would stop Pepper’s scratching.
Mary, If that is a bunge cord chair, I have one. I have had it for a number of years and I like it. I have no back issues , it is what I would call a basic chair, at the time I purchased mine I believe the price was $100.
Karen – chair inflation – this chair is $350!
Hi Mary, have you tried rescue remedies for fluffy buns? I had a dog once who was snappy, tried ,l think it was plum drops on her food and she really became quite mellow! I am spending the same amount on food as l did 20plus years ago, then it was husband, me and 2 teenage boys, now it’s just me and the dog! Shopping is not me, go to the mall with a list, then home, not a browser. Take care everyone, best wishes from Sandy
Shopping, darn phones!
Hi Mary, longtime reader not usually a commenter.
I too, hate showing! Especially now when you have to watch everything so closely 🙄
We are cold in the NW here, probably not as cold as you!
Re: Fluffy, is there someone who could give her a new home without other cats?
Gee Mary, somehow I get the feeling that you hate shopping, hee hee.
What are we going to do about FB. It would be great if you could find someone to take her that has no other cats.
Received a card today from Linda in Iowa. Linda, cards are always welcome, whether they are early or late. I’m delighted any time I open my mailbox to find a card waiting for me. You mentioned you’re visiting AZ in March, what area are you heading to?
I showed my splinted finger to one of our maintenance guys today, he adjusted my door so it will close slowly and not cause any more injuries.
Jamie I just finished reading an article in the AARP magazine, ( I am not promoting the group) but they will do battle for seniors who are having issues with companies. The web site is aarpfoundation.org/litigation. They will defend the rights of older Americans. I believe that is us! Good luck as things change with your company.
How great you had some help from the maintenance men.
I just want to give a shout out to all the men who have helped me out. I love alone and have had nothing but blessings from the men i come in contact with. From the man who helped me when I fell in my face in the street. To the two good Samaritans who got out of their trucks,( in bad traffic) and helped a policeman build a ramp of gravel and broken macadamia to help my car drive of of a construction hole. To the man who apologized to me after I backed into his truck while he was stopped for traffic. And the policeman who apologized to me for the moving violation ticket. He couldn’t have been nicer. To my friend’s husband who picked me up and drove me home so that I could watch the Chief’s game with them at their house. He even offered to help me get rid of junk at my house if I needed him to. To the man who i hired to paint my room for fixing a broken closet door because he could. To my brother who will always fix things around my house if I need him to. I can’t believe how blessed I am to come in contact with strangers and friends. Here’s to all the men who help women! Thank you.
