Bought a new dryer today – great news! I bought the model that actually does not match my washer because I found one that’s an inch narrower than my available space which means no tearing out the cupboard! Oh, Happy Day! The bad news is that it won’t be delivered until March 12. That means going to the laundromat for a couple weeks which isn’t fun but I’ll take my book along and read while my clothes dry.
My meds aren’t working fast enough to suit me but then again, I’m not very patient. I’ve had 4-5 coughing attacks today – that’s 4-5 too many.
Here’s my most exciting news! The copier arrived today.

After some education I am ready to roll. Let’s start with SPRING – one pattern until I test my system. Quilt measures 16” x 42”.

Patterns will be $10 – all postage will be paid by me. I’m trying to keep this as simple as possible and still not break your bank. But please send me an address label so I don’t have to hand address all the orders.
As always payment must be cash or check – for you readers who have heard all this before, bear with me.
Pattern – $10
Includes mailing envelope and all postage – effective immediately until further notice.
So we’ll start with just one pattern – this offer will be good until April 15 at which time I will post patriotic patterns so you can get those quilts ready to enjoy from May to August.

I am glad you found a dryer the correct size. I would like to have a small stackable set in our broom closet in the kitchen. I have planted the seed. 😊
The baby sweater sets are adorable.; as are Keeper’s muddy feet.
I hope your meds help, so you can put that cough behind you. Take Care, 🥰
The good news (if there’s ever good news about going to the laundromat) is that the Garner laundromat is a nice one! When we were at GNR some years ago I went to the Forest City laundromat where there were a lot of mechanical issues and a fight between two customers so bad the police had to come. So happy you found a dryer that fits and a new copier that looks really great. I’m dreading the demise of our refrigerator because a replacement will mean tearing apart our kitchen and putting in different cabinets.
My youngest grandson has the crud. He has so much form and mucus he chokes on it! She took him in and the doctor game him antibiotics. I even talked to him this morning! He sounded so much better, hope it continues! He’s one of the Michigan bunch! 🥰
Mary I hope you continue to feel better and get that cough to stop! The sun his shining so bright and the sky so blue !
Have fun with your new copier! When do I get Hank?
Love all the pictures!!
Yay on dryer AND copier!!! Looking forward to what patterns you will present to us. Love the spring pattern, too. I hope your meds kick in soon. I once coughed so hard I bruised several ribs (like the muscles around the ribs). It was awful.
Great news on the new printer arriving and the Spring pattern is a cute one. I hope the meds kick in soon, coughing is a drag for sure. It seems to linger and become a nuisance. Did I miss the Harvey pattern being offered again? Our son ordered some new appliances, and they were to come March 5th but have been delayed until the 24th, so he lives without since his home is new. Good thing we are close, and he does laundry here and has dinner with us most night. Our snow has melted but more is coming on Friday along with the colder weather. It’s nice to be home but I wish it wasn’t going to snow, so much slop and mess.
So great the dryer will fit. And your new copier! Great news. Spring will be here before we know it. I loved the weather yesterday. Re-read Bridget Jones’s Diary and watched
the 2001 movie for my birthday present to me. Peacock released Bridget Jones Mad About the Boy for Valentine’s Day. Still love the character after all these years. Is it because I found myself single at 41 after 20 years of marriage. And faced the dating season scared to death. Happy ending! Found my second husband at a single’s dance and never looked back. Grateful! That’s how I’ve spent the last 32 years. Most of the the time. Haha
Carolyn – love your happy ending story!!
Carolyn,
What a perfectly delightful love story! Thanks for sharing.
This cough/cold crud recovery takes time. I will pray for your patience in this matter🙏😊 A good friend has had it since NewYears Day. He is still struggling as his went into pneumonia w/ Bells Palsy. Spring is coming which will help everyone both physically and mentally.
Love the precious baby/children’s clothing.
I am so happy to read you found a dryer the right size. For Those of us facing the same issue with tight spots I feel confident we’ll be okay when replacing. Last time we replaced our dryer they said you can count on them to last 7 years. We’re nursing ours along but know our refrigerator is the oldest appliance.
Good luck with your new printer. I’m getting my order to you cause that runner would be so cute in Easter colors which I pulled out over the weekend. Our favorite part of quilting, right Mary….pulling the fabrics together for a project.
Hope your meds kick in quickly…….coughing attacks are NOT fun. Hope they don’t happen at night…..sleep is important. I’m waiting for Harvey pattern (Easter). Haha I think you will get lots of requests.
Deb C, were you a reader the year we did a Harvey Parade? It was so fun seeing how everyone else made up that pattern. Such creativity and color combinations people put together. It was another fun pattern like Bulleyes. I love hanging it on my front door as it’s full glass so can be seen from the road with its bright cheerful colors.
I’ve seen several pictures of Harvey and never ordered the pattern and have been kicking myself for not getting it. I’m so happy Mary got a printer!
Deb C – oh my gosh, I am sorry! I did forget about Harvey! He can certainly be available right now – same price, etc. Hope you see this answer – I’ll post him tonight for sure.
Mary. No need to apologize. I am so happy I can order Harvey.
Hope you feel better soon
Have you ever tried putting Vicks on the bottoms of your feet before you go to bed? I swear it works!
This is legit—and there’s a scientific explanation for it! Read that recently on The People’s Pharmacy. I highly recommend their newsletter. They’ve been writing it since the 70’s. Joe Graedon is a pharmacologist(person who studies how drugs work in the body) and his wife Terry has a Ph.D. in medical anthropology and studies home and folk remedies. Vicks on your feet works because there are nerve receptors on the feet that absorb chemicals from the active ingredients in the Vicks and they suppress coughing in the brain.
They encourage people to report home remedies that work for them, drug reactions, etc. They have a daily newsletter and a vast topic library you can search. Very informative.
Anna – I have tried this years ago – it’s worth another try
Mary, did you ever get your chair. Online I saw a post about a sewing chair she got from Wayfare. Looked great and reasonably priced. They deliver. She even got a pink one.
Linda – no I didn’t get a chair. Rick sanded my wood floor under the chair so it moves more smoothly. I’m going to get a piece of shatter proof glass as well. I have gotten into the habit now of standing up every few minutes – I always have my iron away from the machine so I have to get up. My bent neck gives me trouble but my chiropractor really helps. Couldn’t be my age, could it??? 😉
Another option to try that really works. Look on the internet for ‘egg sitter cushion’. There are a lot of them, they really help, and my husband swipes it from me whenever he has to sit for a long time. It’s just a piece of rubber cells which also keep you cooler.
wow 10 months until Christmas Day and here you are with a new copier AND a new sized to order dryer.!!!
Brenda – yes! I’m so happy – both will make my life easier and I’m so glad to make the patterns available again.
Wow, that is some copier! I’m looking forward to your patriotic patterns.
I hope by now your meds are working and you’ve kicked your cough.
Christine – if there’s a particular patriotic pattern you want just let me know – I will be happy to send it now.
