And the Clean Up Begins

How many of you saw the movie “Joy” with Jennifer Lawrence about Joy Mangano and her Miracle Mop?  I did and was so impressed I went to Target and bought one just for my big clean up job after the carpenters left.  Honestly I had to go to YouTube to watch a video to learn how to operate it but I think I’ve got the hang of it now and I’ve got to say it’s pretty cool.  And like she said over and over –you can take the mop head off and wash it in the machine!  Now how wonderful is that?  I sound like a pitch man on QVC – ha!

This old counter has been here in the porch holding plants for 2 years and it’s time for something new.  I’m going to move it outside to hold plants and look for something new in this spot.  It’s always fun to have something specific to look for.

I’m also taking down the winter quilts and white lights for the spring/summer season.  Half the lights were burned out so it was time to take them down.  I found my little Harvey quilt just in time to be up a few weeks before Easter.

My work is cut out for me today.

Tall Harvey is hanging on my front door. A great Country Threads pattern!! My granddaughter asked to set out an antique Easter basket on a huge carrot topper I’d sewn last year. Just read Daylight Savings Time starts this Sunday; wish they’d stop that in CA like AZ has.

Launa – really? AZ doesn’t have DST? I hate it, too, but the people who work in town and want daylight after work love it. I want to come in and rest at dark and eat supper at a decent time – not 9:30!

I had a “Joy” moment and though it would be nice if the mop head was made from fabric strips, the same size as the ones used for the rag rugs. It would be called the Mary Mop. Of course it would be too pretty to use and I wouldn’t have any problem with that. Just a thought of maybe you doing a tutorial on how to make one, you’re not busy are you………

Rose – no, not busy at all! Has your son found that goat yet? I keep forgetting to ask.

No and it hasn’t been seen lately. Must be keeping low until the elections are over next week.

Jeannette-yes, I’m the one but since we closed, only a few are available. Contact Mandy at Farm Chick Quilts online. She can help you.

Launa is correct. No DST here in Arizona. We lived elsewhere whenour kids were little. DST rolled around and I’d say “Time to get ready for bed” And they’d say “But it’s not dark outside yet” Grrrrr! I did not like DST. It should be dark in the evening!!!

Your remodel looks wonderful. I love to clean. Maybe not so much the work but the results. Too bad I’m not close by to lend a hand.

I wonder how many other people could do without DST? We’d love to lose it! 78 degrees on my back porch in Central Ohio. Nice tomorrow, too:). Harvey is a cool bunny.
