Iowans expect temps like this but I am thinking of all of you who are enduring the blast of frigid air. My chickens and two goats are fine, the geese take cover in a lean to every night and the dogs and cats are in the house. All is well.
I’m really enjoying the dessert answers! I like so many of those listed – many I had nearly forgotten about. I would add Mom’s rhubarb pie to my list.
As I was practicing with the choir this morning the piano bench collapsed. Yup, I hit the floor and my head hit the concrete wall next to the piano. The bench was wobbly and we had just looked at it but assumed one more “sit” would be ok. My hard head hit the hard wall. And yes, I do have a headache.
Hope everybody enjoyed all the football games – looking forward to the college game tomorrow night.

Such a sweet coat for a 9 year old

I agree with everyone, get your head checked out.
The coat is very beautiful and will be cherished I’m sure.
I will start quilting the preemie quilt I finished. Can’t wait to get it done and sew the binding on. It turned out really cute if I don’t say so myself. A picture will come soon.
Stay warm and safe everyone. We have cool temps but nothing like you. Just below freezing at night. And it’s 40F right now in the sun. Glad we have clear skies so no snow.
Mary, I know almost nothing about American football, except when my DH is watching – he’ll watch any sport if it’s a good game! BUT there is a 24-year from Melbourne who is playing in the game tonight/today, whatever time it is where you are. His name is Joe McGuire. On the other team is another young man from Melbourne, James Rendell. Perhaps you can let us know how they go.
I love the little boy with the goat, and the Coat of Many Colours, as well as the song.
Pauline in South Australia
Pauline – sorry, it was a punt not a field goal but since you know nothing about American football you’ll never know the difference! Haha!!
Teresa in Indiana–
Your coat of many colors is charming! What a wonderful idea to use a favorite quilt. I’ll bet if you sent a picture of your niece wearing it to Dolly Parton, she would send a reply. The Coat of Many Colors is also a children’s book, but you probably knew that already. I used to read it when we did a Summer Reading unit about the “olden days,” and then follow up with a paper bag puppet dressed in a torn construction paper coat. Even the boys got into it when I threw some camo paper scraps into the mix! Don’t forget to sing the song together! Great, now I’ve got it in my head! Ha, ha.
Mary, here is another friend urging you to check in with your doctor. Before I got my trusty pacemaker, I fainted (syncope episodes in med speak) three times after falling. Being on a first name basis with your EMT friends is much better than having to worry about a brain bleed. Please, take care.
Love the pix these last few days! Thanks, everyone! Kris in WI
I fell walking off the curb to my car, but my face hit hard against the road and had a huge gash above my eye from my eye glasses. A man saw me fall and got out of his truck to check on me. He told me I needed to go to the emergency room for the Large bleeding gash. If it weren’t for him telling that I would have just drove home. Luckily the hospital was within 2 miles. They did an MRI on my brain to check for damage. I feel blessed because of that visit i had peace of mind. Also I had 11 stitches. And when I got done it was dark. I can’t drive in the dark. I didn’t have my phone with me. (I know, stupid). The nurses called my emergency numbers and neither my brother or daughter answered. So the nurse drove me home. (We don’t have taxis in our town)
I remembered when my friend cut her head when she fell. She couldn’t stop the bleeding and called 911. She had to tell the squad she wanted to be taken to the hospital. The surgeon who sewed her up said she cut an artery and would have bled out if she hadn’t come to the hospital.I
I try to learn from others and play it safe.
I pray you get checked out.I
Go Buckeyes!
So sorry about your fall. That was a tough one. Glad you got help from others. And glad you didn’t have a brain injury.
Mary, by all means, go to the doctor and get things checked out. Don’t be stubborn. Your butt is kind meant for bouncy falls. Your head is like a melon and gets stirred up. Cement floors have NO GIVE. After going thru your surgery, get this checked. You wouldn’t want it on your tombstone that you died falling off a piano bench?
The little coat is great. Each generation can each take their turns wearing it. It is to be treasured. Little kids and animals are wonderful. It is so interesting to watch them play with each other and take care not to hurt them. To loose is beloved pet is worse than anything. They ask nothing and give everything. My cat, Festus, died in 1981 and I could be in tears now if I think about her too much. She was 16.
Our cold spell is not for the faint hearted. I haven’t been out of the house since Friday. This morning I called the hospital and changed my appointment for a renal ultrasound tomorrow to January 30. We don’t have a lot of snow, but it is supposed to be below zero with high winds. A very good day to stay inside!! There are days when old ladies should stay in the house. I think the strong winds are the worst. You can take 2 steps forward and it will blow you back 3 steps. And we don’t have it as bad as other areas north and west.
As for the heating bill, I just remember how nice it was in the house. Same with the A/C bills.
My great niece sent a picture of her 2 daughters on Rose Hill in Denver where they are making snow and the kids are having a ball sliding. Making snow in Denver??? I’m sure the pictures were taken earlier. The smiles cover their faces. What great fun they will always remember.
Take care. And enjoy what we can. Betty in Rapid City
Mary, have you checked with the doctor yet? Hope you are feeling better. My piano bench at church had a loose screw for sometime but we finally got it taken care of. Fortunately, the bench never collapsed. It is 12 degrees now after zero this morning. Forecast for tomorrow morning is six below with a wind chill of much lower. Several area schools have already canceled or moved to e-learning for tomorrow. We have canceled church before for cold temperatures. We would consider who would venture out in the cold temperatures. When considering that the 90 year olds would try to be there, we liked to made a decision on the side of caution. We did have a pastor once who saw no reason to cancel. He lived 10 miles away with highway travel to church. When he moved to within 3 miles of church he soon found out that a few inches of snow and winds in the country could produce some impassable drifts. Some blog posting I read on time and others I binge read. Today was one of those days that I caught up. I wanted to comment on Book Bub posted on the books day. If I see a book that there is a charge for, I go to Libby or Hoopla (apps free through our local library). I often find the book on one of those sites that I can check out for free. For the desserts I like most anything sweet. Someone mentioned Apple Rollups. I call them Apple Pinwheels. All the ingredients of apple dumplings but I find apples easier to chop for the pinwheels than to core for dumplings. Mary, you mentioned some books being hard to hold. When I husband suggested that I might want a reader or iPad, I thought that might be a good idea. I had just finished reading 11/22/63 by Stephen King; not a small book. I decided on an iPad. I can read books from Kindle, Nook, Libby, Hoopla on it. If you have a Kindle you should find someone to help you with it. Our local library has a tech person in on certain days that is a wonderful help. Enough rambling for today.
Judy – yes, I should get help with the Kindle – I just finished a really big heavy book. I’m glad it’s done. Tonight I have a paperback to start. 😉
Hi everyone. I’ve been MIA for awhile and just getting caught up. There have been so many beautiful things shared that I wouldn’t even be able to catch up. Just know that I loved them all and thank you for sharing.
Joy, your little grandson is so adorable and the story of him interacting with the animals cracked me up. I just love little kids. You never know what they will come up with.
Teresa, holy cow! That coat is going to be cherished for the rest of her life.
I’m sorry so many of you are dealing with this horrible weather. Our overnight lows have been in the low 20’s and I’ve been feeling right sorry for myself until seeing what so many of you are enduring. Stay safe and as warm as you can.
Mary, I agree with so many others. Get your head checked out!
So sorry to hear of your fall and hitting your head, and I agree with everyone that you should be checked out, we care about you Mary. It cold here this morning, 11 below but windchill of 21 below. It’s going to be worse tomorrow. We are staying home and glad of it. Today will be tomato soup and grilled cheese, some comfort food to fix the cold. I unpacked all of my quilt books, and I discovered that I own 2 copies of your book, Quilts from Aunt Amy! I must of really liked it that I bought it twice. Will work on getting my patterns organized.
Mary, I hope that you’re listening to your friends! I join in asking you to be checked out. Not how you want to spend your day, but peace of mind is important, and when you get to be our age, even more so.
Mary, I’m so sorry for your accident. After reading all the comments, i agree you should get it looked at. Last week I fell in the middle of the night on my way to the bathroom and my head must have hit the toilet paper roll on the way by. I don’t think it knocked me out, but I could feel my head and cheek bone swelling. I put ice on it and went back to bed only to discover the next day that the whole right side of my face and eye socket were black and blue. I’ve been wearing sun glasses ever since, but after everyone’s comments and advice I’m thinking I need to see a doctor about this and you should too.
Mary, when you had the Bullseye quilt sew along in 2018, I sewed all the 48 blocks but did not put them together and then misplaced them. I finally found them and put them together and now I want to quilt it but I have a question. In looking at some of the pictures on your blog from 2018, it seems like the quilting does not go through the actual bullseye but all around it. Is that right? I am not good at free hand quilting and was hoping to just do the straight stitch down or the serpentine stitch. I guess I can still do either but just not go through the bullseye, right? I am assuming quilting through the bullseye would hinder the fraying from occurring around the edges or make it look weird. Just checking in with the expert before I begin lol. Hope your head is ok!
One more chiming in for the visit to your doctor. Head injuries are nothing to dismiss.
Karen
Uff, that must have been scary to fall off the bench, take care.
I’m busy watching the inauguration. I love our USA.
Thank you all for the comments regarding the coat. I made it from a favorite quilt that her dad (my nephew) picked out. They went to Dollywood last fall and she loved the coat of many colors story. She turns 9 next week. The coat is a surprise gift for her.
So sorry to hear about Ginger. Just heartbreaking!
And the little boy with the goat is just too precious for words.
Stay safe and warm!
She’s going to remember that coat for decades after she grows out of it. I remember about 15 years ago going to this shop that carried unique items. They had a vest made from a quilt. I left without it, but halfway home I made a U turn and went back for it. Man I loved that vest!
That’s awesome Jamie! So glad you went back for it.
Love the Greta photo. Worried about you with your fall. Hopefully you’re feeling better and do get your head checked out.
That coat is a special one for a child. And I love the picture of Greta.
Magnus has been sitting on his favorite quilt in an office chair in my sewing room. I like having the kitties close.
Mary – I’m always late to read this, so I pray you took everyone’s advice and went to the doctor. We’ll be waiting for your update! 😉 I kind of chuckled because I can imagine you telling the doctor that about 100 of your blog readers told you to come in and get checked out! Who can say that?!?!
Oh my goodness! Hope your head feels better! I can relate, recently fell off my step stool. Landed hard on my rear end, told my husband I should have hit my head since that’s the hardest part of me! Hopefully it will start to warm up tomorrow.
I will say ditto to the advice to see a doctor. So many dessert choices – I’m going with ice cream. That coat of many colors is amazing – I’m sure it will be a family heirloom. Here in central Alabama, we are expecting to get about an inch of snow tomorrow and Gulf Shores might 2-3 inches – almost unheard of! Schools and businesses have already announced closing. Planning to make a pot of ham and beans – good cold weather food.
Mary, sounds like all posts feel you should see your doctor. I never knew this but looking at my online health records I had two traumatic brain injuries I guess my two head bumps were determined I had two TBI’s
Mn temps are too cold, and yes it’s January & I’ve lived here most of my life here, but too cold. Currently minus 11. Where my son is, north of me, it’s minus 30, feels like minus 31. 🥶🥶🥶
My morning Dr appointment was canceled Dr probably wanted to stay in. At least I got the message before I left home 👍
Mary, aren’t you stiff? Wow! And your headache. Even a trip to the chiropractor would be good. You’re probably all of whack!
Sandy 86* is perfect! You r in Australia? Or New Zealand? I always forget. Anyway, somewhere warm. 🥰
That cute little boy with the goat is my youngest grandson! I can’t help but claim him! He is so fun! He loves animals! Last summer he would go to their pen and open the gait and then dance around and they would go out, of course, but he would just do his little jig around them and they would go back it in. He is a hoot!
Well, yesterday we thought it was cold, but today is cold too! They tell us it will be colder than yesterday! They cancelled early morning activities at the schools around. And some are off because of Martin Luther Kking day.
I love that quilted jacket. So cute!
Greta is just so pretty sitting by your beautiful eggs!
Cindy I am so sorry about your dear Ginger. Loosing a pet is so hard.
Hope every one has a good day and Mary I hope your headache is better!
Joy – yes, I am stiff and sore but then Rick reminded me that I unloaded two bags of feed last week – took them out of Rick’s pickup and pulled the wagon to the barn where I lifted them out, into the barn and emptied into the big garbage can. That’s probably why my arms hurt so much. Duh. Yes, I’m going to the chiropractor – hopefully this afternoon. And that’s a cute little boy!
We love him and his photo. I get great joy from seeing or hearing about young children who have a love for animals. I always said if I won the lottery I would open an animal sanctuary.
Oh no,Mary!! Time to see Dr Ellis to be on the safe side.
Oh, dear! I’m so sorry you hit your head!
Isn’t that quilted coat marvelous? I’ve had a couple of patterns for years, but just never seem to get around to making one. I certainly have enough scraps and fabric to make many!
It’s been in the 20s here in Southern Oregon, but we have it so easy compared to most other folks.
Stay warm!
1. Wind chills predicted to be -20 thru Wednesday in SW Ohio. Just miserable.
2. Love the quilted coat. It will be warm and a conversation piece.
3. Sorry about the headache from your fall. Lucky that you aren’t stiff too. You should get checked out.
4. I agree a good rhubarb pie w/ flaky crust can’t be beat. Love the sweet/sour taste. We planted rhubarb last spring w/ the neighbors cow manure to
Jumpstart it. The plants did well all summer. Hopefully they come back.
5. My granddaughter’s show choir hosted a competition on Saturday. As a host
school, they were scheduled to perform at 11PM. Due to circumstances,
they performed at 12;45 AM😬. Hundred of high schoolers performed.
They did great. Lots of hours of practice for vocals and dance. Their theme is Frankenstein which is so creative. I am a very proud Nana. Hubster & I got home at 2AM. Needless to say, it was a very laid back day.
6. My other granddaughter has a BB game this afternoon. Hope it warms up
a little before we venture out.
7. Will watch some of inauguration today. As an Ohioan, so proud of
jDVance. I have read his book and watched the Netflix movie. Sad to
lose him as our senator. I wish him and his lovely family all the best. JD hired a 90 year old Italian immigrant tailor in Cincy area to make his clothing for the inauguration. His interview w/ local tv was so heartwarming. The tailor thinks of himself as an Italian immigrant🤣
8. As a Buckeye alumni and big fan, I will be glued to the tv tonight. GO
BUCKEYES❤️
9. Interesting facts about Marcus Freeman-Notre-Dame coach. He was born
at Wright-Patterson Air Force base, went to school in Dayton area and was
a linebacker for Ohio State. He has midwest roots and has common sense
values & morals. I really like what I read about him. At this point of
competition, all of these young men and coaches are winners.
Sorry. Went to edit and can’t do. That is what I get for being ‘so windy’🤦🏼♀️
Marcia – I love long winded comments!!!! It means we’re friends who talk back and forth. I, too, will be watching tonight and it will be more entertaining than the inauguration – haha!! I’m watching because it’s too cold to do anything else. The air is so sharp it’s hard to breathe outside and I don’t want the dogs to be outside too long at a time.
Teresa in Indiana: I love the coat! So cute and creative.
We had everyone here yesterday so I read your blog so no time to answer, and this AM I saw 150 responses so I will read those later! 1. Head—probably too late to get it checked, but it won’t hurt. I fainted from dehydration due to Colonoscooy prep in Dec. and hit my right side and head on tile floor. I never thought to get it checked🙀. I still have the bump on my head and bruises. Won’t hurt to go to Dr., Mary. 2. So sorry about Ginger. It is so hard to lose our little buddies. 3. Pecan pie and anything chocolate. 4. Cute little child with goat, And, the Bills WON, the Buckeyes play tonight. It is 3.6* with COLD windchill.
Diane – I will be watching tonight – can’t wait!!! Yes, many responses which I absolutely love – must have been that dessert question. Haha! Hopefully I can find another question that will inspire many comments again because I love the interaction with the readers.
I’m so sorry the bench collapsed. Please call your doctor and get your head checked.
The little one with the goat is a darling picture. Teresa, I love the coat you made. Reminds me of the coat of many colors. I love all desserts! If I could only pick one, it would have to be ice cream…. pralines and cream, chocolate peanut butter, chocolate moose tracks and salted caramel. I always have different flavors for my grandkids…..right! I’m getting my oil changed in the morning so I’d better get to bed.
Go Ohio State!!!
another vote for a head check
California needs to rent the goat and many others for brush control.
Coat of many colors for Joseph, Dolly Parton and a 9 year old.
We do use goats for brush control in my city of Fremont in some areas. I love to watch them.
80.6 degrees for you!
Hi Mary, l hope you are ok, l hit my head and shoulder on concrete a few months ago, couldn’t touch my ear for 2 weeks, painful! We are going to have a warm day ,27 degrees, will haveto check that in temp for USA, hot for us in New Zealand! Take care everyone, best wishes from Sandy
Joining the lament to get your head checked. I don’t know if you remember the actress Natasha Richardson, wife of Liam Neeson. She fell well skiing in Canada and hit her head, but refused any medical aid and walk back to her room. She died of an epidural hematoma. She refused any aid because she Apparently felt fine afterwards. That story was very frightening to me and only a few years ago a 50-year-old local woman died suddenly. But I later learned that she fell at home. While I don’t know any details I’m going to assume she had a brain bleed. Not to scare you or anything, but at our age, especially getting it checked out is important.
On a lighter note, yes the picture of the boy holding the goat? Is adorable. I’ve often wondered why Iowa gets so much colder than other other states in that latitude. Perhaps it’s just so much closer to the cold winds of the north. We’ve had some extended cold here in Maryland and this week it’s going to get into the single digits at night For a short time. One of our local photographers took pictures of a group of boys playing hockey on the canal by the Potomac River. We haven’t had anything like that happen in quite some time.
Glad all your animals are safe and warm, and I’ll be reminded to step carefully outside while things are frozen. Happy MLK day to all.
Pat in Md
Patricia, Here is the reason Iowa gets so cold. You know how the states give each other little jabs (all in good fun) but I think it started when college teams play against each other. For instance, someone started calling our Wisconsin neighbors ‘cheese heads’. Instead of being insulted, they loved it and now are wearing appropriate hats. With Minnesota being noted for cold, and when Iowa gets these awful temperatures, someone came up with ‘Iowa sucks’. Like I said it is all in good fun(I love Iowa). Yeah the temps. are really serious for man and beast but it’s all over the place. Last night I heard they will be getting up to 7″ snow along the Gulf of Mexico.
The little boy with the goat is too precious. Kids and animals are the best.
Janet,
I love that they call Wisconsoners, Wisconsinites? The people of Wisconsin – cheese heads.
I have not heard the term for Iowans before.
You are right this cold air mass has dipped into our southern states. I have sisters that live in Texas, and one in particular that had great damage to her house in 2021 when their temperatures dipped into single digits for an extended period of time and everyone’s pipes burst. So now I watch your weather and pray that these low temperatures will not be for long.
So I pray that we will all stay intact during this period of extreme cold. We had rain and snow yesterday and now below freezing temps. I know I will have to be especially careful while I’m out and about with all the ice. Have a good day and stay safe.
Pat I’m Md
So sorry about your fall. Please get it checked out-long story but I hit the back of my head over 30 years ago and had a brain contusion-not fun and took nearly 8 months of recovery. My cousin hit her head on the concrete several years ago and died that day. Do not take a hit to the head lightly.
Our precious dog Ginger went in for emergency surgery Friday and had to be put to sleep. We are heartbroken. Feels like we lost a child. My husband typically buries a pet himself but it’s impossible now to dig a grave so she will be cremated and buried at a later date. To top it off, I took a fall on the ice and can hardly walk. X-rays looked good-no broken bones-an MRI may be next-after the radiologist officially reads the X-rays. What a week! Dr said-welcome to the I fell on the ice club as 90% of the patients he’s seen since the ice and snow storm are from falls.
On a positive thought-I love the quilted jacket. Nice work.
Cindy – oh, your poor broken heart! Of course it feels like you lost a child – you did. Was the emergency surgery a sudden issue for Ginger? What a shock for you. I’m in bed and Hazel with me and I’m thanking God first her. We have no ice or snow of any kind so my falls were from other issues.
Ginger had cancer 2 years ago and had a major surgery. She was coughing a lot at that time and the vet said she had congestive heart failure. Thought she may only live a few more years. Last fall she had several teeth removed and the vet that did that procedure said her cough was due to her bad teeth and also, she had an enlarged spleen which she wanted to keep an eye on as it could get so enlarged it could burst and kill her quickly. Her cough did improve after the dental work. Last week, she just wasn’t herself. She wasn’t eating much and didn’t seem to have much energy. Steve picked her up one evening and she felt hot as if she had a fever so he took her to the vet Friday morning. Her spleen had doubled in size so she went to emergency surgery. Steve went to the hospital for physical therapy on his shoulder and while there, the vet called-said ginger had cancer in her spleen, liver, lungs and stomach and if they did the surgery she would live about one month so did he want her put down now while she was already under. He just walked out of pt and went to the car and bawled his head off. What to do? She would have to recover from surgery only to suffer again in a month. It was a very tough call. When I heard the door open an hour after he left, I thought there was an intruder but when I saw him standing at the door sobbing uncontrollably, I knew the news was about ginger. She gave us years of joy. We sure miss her.
Cindy – I am so very sorry for your loss. Our pets are our kids. Hugs to you.
Oh Cindy! I’m so sorry!! It would seem like an easy decision to make, but it’s not! Sounds like you took excellent care of Ginger and did save her pain where you could. Not much of a comfort, but you are in my thoughts!
Ohh, Cindy, I am so sorry about your precious Ginger!! I’m grieving for you, I know how much it hurts and they are your kids for sure. 💔
Cindy – YOU DID THE RIGHT THING!! To let her go on in pain and misery only to have to recover in more pain would have been unkind. Letting your beloved pet go is the most loving thing you can do – hardest for you, of course, but the kindest thing you can do for an ailing pet who won’t ever recover. I would be sobbing, too, but I know you loved her unconditionally and she you. I’m reminded of my Faye who went into liver failure. After taking her to Iowa State which didn’t make any difference, I knew I had to let her go. I held her as the vet came to the house to put her down. My heart still misses her.
Oh Cindy, I’m so sorry this happened. Bless you both for having the courage to make the right decision for Ginger. I know how hard that is and how it tears you up inside. I’m sending you a hug
I’m so sorry Cindy. It is heart breaking to lose a pet. Hugs to you and your family.
So very sorry for your loss. I think most of us here have felt your pain. Each time I lost a fur baby I thought of Garth Brooks ”The Dance.”:
“I could have missed the pain
But I’d have had to miss the dance.”
Cindy, I’m so sorry for your loss of Ginger. Dogs (cats too) are like members of our family. We used to say our Sonny is the child that doesn’t need to go to college. He is 12 and has congestive heart failure too. I had an appointment to have his teeth cleaned, but decided that it might kill him—the anesthetic and the stress, so I cancelled and plan to keep him going until I feel he is suffering. He still seems to be enjoying his life in spite of the coughing.
Please accept my condolences for your loss of Ginger. It certainly seems that she had a wonderful life with you, so I hope that comforts somewhat.
Not only the possibility of a brain bleed but also a concussion. I agree..if it still hurts get checked out. Yes it is cold. It’s going to be -12 tonight. And now I see that that is the high for tomorrow for my daughter in North Dakota. I do have to go out tomorrow for a couple of appointments and I’m not looking forward to that at all. Cute photo of little kid with a sheep.
By all means get your head checked. Brain bleeds are serious. I trust you are ok but you can never be too careful. I’ll take chocolate in any form but in particular chocolate chip cookies fresh out of the oven. The Santa Ana’s are returning in the morning until Wednesday. Everyone is on fire alert, again. Glad your animals are safe and warm. Love the turtlenecks . Maybe you should knit some for your chickens!
I totally agree with Sharon. You need to be very careful when you hit your head on a hard surface. A brain bleed is very sneaky, you have very little symptoms and then you just drop dead. Please, for the sake of yourself, your furry and feathered children and all of us who adore you, call your doctor!!
forgot to add: about 8 years ago I knew 3 people who died within 4 weeks of each other from a brain bleed after taking a fall. I really, really care about you, please call your doctor.
Jamie – please update us on what you’ve received in the mail.
I’ve done an update every day, I think the last card was received thursday or Friday. I will update if any more arrive. We’re up to 52 cards and the wonderful package from you.
Mary sent me a darling pillowcase with cats in chairs all over it and a crocheted pot holder, I’m sure she made both and I will cherish them forever. There was an assortment of all occasion cards and postage stamps so I can pay it forward, some of the cards were Country Threads creations which will be hard to give up. She also included Altoids, a tiny prayer quilt and some $$ to purchase more stamps, I spent all of it plus a little more on stamps so I am ready to join in!
Love the photo of Greta and the eggs, you have such a good eye for photography.
OH no! I’m sorry you bumped your head. I’d imagine the backside is rather bruised, too. Hopefully, nothing worse. I never heard of a “trick” piano bench. Who knew? Do we all need to send donations to get a new bench? Maybe should check out the organist’s bench, too? Just to be on the safe side. All humor attempts aside, I hope your headache and any other affects go away fast.
Loved the photo of the little one with the baby goat(?). So sweet. Enjoyed all the photos.
Brrrr, your temps send chills thru me away out here on the west coast. Your heating bills must be off the charts. We complain about ours, even tho our low temps have only dropped to 30* a couple of times so far this winter. Unusually mild, but still, the high heating $$.
Take care.
Linda
I concur
Mary – Get your head checked! Hitting concrete is serious! You may disagee, but I know 4 people who hit their heads and 3 of them had a brain bleed. I’m worried for you if your head still hurts, You should get checked out! Just sayin’…
Take care everyone.
