Enjoy these great quilts!

Siri went home today – she’s been here a couple months and has not always been healthy – upset gut and more. She’s as healthy as she’s ever been since I’ve taken care of her and I am really invested in her health right now. I hope she remains healthy – I just don’t know how she could be very comfortable with a gut ache all the time. Poor Siri!
It just can’t stop raining – a big cloud came over this afternoon while I was mowing and we got wet again. My favorite kids came this afternoon and helped me move the plants back outside again. Wish I’d thought to take a picture of Aidan, Lucy and Owen!
That’s all from me today – it’s back to work tomorrow!
Oh, my GOSH!! I LOVE that first scrappy quilt with the red in it. I will have to study it more to see if I can replicate it. Have I ever got scraps and STRINGS. That will be another setting to try with some strings and things. Thanks for sharing.
The strings are randomly sewn together and then squared up to 6 1/2 “. I sew these blocks whenever my bin overflows with scraps and then save them until I come across a setting I like. This quilt originally ended with the red inset triangles. I later added the extra rows with red accents when I needed to make it a queen size for a friend.

Nice job ladies. I will share my small quilts after I sew the binding down next week.
Mary What is in the blue jug next to the bottle of spray starch? Wondering if it was a large bottle of spray starch?
Rita in Iowa – the blue jug is liquid starch which I bought for invisible machine applique which I have not mastered! Ugh.
Ooo, I love the color explosion of that first quilt!!! And the red and white–what’s not to love about red and white?! Hope Siri stays healthy and happy. We’ve been having rain seemingly without end. I’m SOO tired of it (though I know we’ll be wanting it badly in July and August). Most of our lakes are WAYY above level!
Sherrill – I feel the same way about the rain – we’ll be begging and praying for it later this summer. I was mowing yesterday and even got rained out! Lousy week and weekend here where weather is concerned.
Great quilt show again. It is so much fun to see all of the different projects!
I thought I’d have mine finished, but back surgery (husband’s) got in the way.
It was a beautiful Memorial Day here today. We always watch the DC Memorial Day concert, too.
The weather is just right75*.
That is a beautiful cat. I’m glad she’s feeling better.
I’m putting in a special request for pictures of Hazel and Telly, the goats, chickens and of course the geese.
The quilt show today was great, thanks gals for sharing.
Mary, I’m so happy you had help with your plants today. Good help is hard to find.
I love the gray/white 4 patch blocks with the red cornerstones. Is there a pattern for this quilt? If not, what size are the blocks and/or 4 patches? Your cat is adorable!
Lovely quilts. Enjoyed looking at all of them. Does anybody know what number is up for June? I joined the party late so I’m not sure what number is left.
