Just finished watching The Fever blow a 10 point lead and lose by an additional 10 points in the 4th quarter. I don’t get it – what happens to them in the 4th quarter?
I’ve had a friend in the Garner area this week and have enjoyed good conversation and good food. I said goodbye to her tonight – she leaves tomorrow morning.
We had 3-1/2” of rain today! I have never seen it rain that hard – puddles and ponds everywhere!

I’m off to sew!
Don’t forget a card to Mickey:

It has been so hot with really high humidity, which is why I prefer being out west in the summer. Hopefully, that is next year’s plan. In the meantime, I am grateful for AC and my basement sewing area.
Sorry Caitlyn is injured. Thanks, Mary 🥰
Jeanie – this season is ok with me however it is. I can sit in my porch for hours and read or just sit and rock and look outside. When I have to retreat for the next season I hate it.
Those two puppies are so cute! Love them!
My card is ready to go!
We had over two inches of rain for the week! So awesome! Every drop soaked in!
It’s going to be a busy week for camping and vacations I’m sure. Our son and family are going to glacier national park and banff! I have never been there. But that’s ok!
Have a good weekend!
Joy – I’ve never been there either – I’m so glad you got rain!
Cute puppies on a very cute quilt with polka dots and sayings.
Just was at the dentist having a crown adjusted. Now on to Walmart for some shopping.
No surprise it is hot here. Hoping for some rain next week.
Those are cute puppies.! The rain has skirted us the last couple of days. I don’t think we got any precipitation. Some cornfields are barely making it. Sorry, no pictures.
We’re headed back up to Iowa today. Caitlin is supposed to play in Dallas tonight. The tickets for the game were going for ridiculous prices. I hope she’s able to play but she needs to take care of herself.
We just drove through rain in Missouri. Now it’s clear again.
We’re taking the cats this time. Klaus has been meowing most of the way. Magnus put his head on Klaus’ to help calm him. I’ll give him a second gabapentin at lunch to see if that helps his anxiety.
We didn’t get to watch the Fever either as we only catch them when they are on ABC or ESPN. I kept track of them on my phone, and thought they were going to win, and then it seems everything went sour! I know Caitlin would love to be playing, but again needs to take care of her injury. Opponents have been very hard on her so far this year.
Took my husband to a foot doctor this morning. He has so much pain in his ankles when he walks. The good news is that his ankles are in great shape. He suggested trying some good arch supports first, and then maybe some hiking type boots to help support the ankle. He shuffles his feet when he walks and his balance isn’t great. So, we bought some arch supports first to see if that helps any. He likes wearing the slip-in Skechers, but not much support in them. But they are easy off and easy on for him. Old age is so fun!
We had another .9″ of rain in our gauge this morning. I went out to pick berries after we got home from the doctor. I only saw 5 or 6 Japanese beetles, but will check again after lunch.
CUTE Puppies!!
I wasn’t able to watch the game tonight as I don’t get prime tv. Disappointing to hear the results. The last 2 games I did watch were also disappointing. I don’t get it either!!
Went to Manhattan Tuesday and it rained so hard on the way home, I had to pull over and wait nearly 15 minutes for the rain to let up enough to drive home. I couldn’t even see out of the windshield. About 10 miles before reaching home, there were 5 police cars and an ambulance on the side of the highway-a car had drove off of a bridge. Didn’t look good.
I went to Rochester today to meet a friend. While we were lunching my phone went off with a weather alert. We finished lunch, headed home. She got almost home before she hit a patch where she had to pull off for the rain. I hadn’t gone a mile when the tornado sirens went off. I kept going, got almost home and had a 10 mile stretch of rain and wind. I was so happy to get home. Those are so cute puppies! They have reforecast the river forecast and I feel so much better about it!! Take care,
