Game Tonight! 8-16-24

The Fever plays Phoenix tonight at 6:30 Central on ION. She’s back! Phoenix ran over Chicago in last night’s game – hmmmm.

    well, no sewing for me today. i spent some time on the scrap summit site. sat through three classes. one was very similar to last year but a good review. one from a designer i like, but i was bored to tears. then one from a person considered a coach, an author and inspiring. i enjoyed that one very much. must have been things i wanted to hear. her talk was on taking possession of our ideas and not giving in to criticism. also allowing ourselves to play with pattern, color, design. sometimes i wonder if i’ve been around too long in this quilting world and should just follow my own self. maybe it is FOMO (fear of missing out) on something new that i might really enjoy. still have lots more classes to review.
    i did buy a new gadget for my longarm – incentive to get upstairs to use it. would cut down tremendously on how long it takes to load a quilt. red snappers. geesh, i couldn’t remember that name. now i just have to get the energy to use them.
    the good thing about the new printer/copiers is the two in one and the lower prices. i tend to print out more than i probably need.

      Patti – sitting through boring classes online? Ugh. You probably know just as much about color, design and planning a project as the person you were listening to! Give yourself some credit, My Dear!

    Thanks for the heads up! We get that channel on cable, but I didn’t realize the WNBA was playing again. The final game at the Olympics was awesome!!

    Love your new project. I’m in the middle of two projects. One is a quilt to see if my pattern works and the other is stripping the paint off of an old pie safe. I’m so lucky that all of the punched metal on the doors is in good shape. The four coats of paint saved the metal.
