It’s Dirty Dozen Day, 12-1-21

We’re 6 months into the Dirty Dozen game and here’s your DD number for December. NUMBER ONE! I’ve got to find mine – I’m afraid it’s going to be an appliqué project which will be hard on my hands.

It’s a very busy month so I hope your #1 project is a fast and easy one!

Oh no! Does cleaning my room count? I should have taken before and after pictures.

I will tell you all, I worked up enough courage to go to town on Saturday. I’m not a big crowd shopper. Of the 5 stores on my list, I made it to 1. I got a great parking spot and was the only person in there. After checking out, I turned and the line to get in was out the door!!! Our downtown was full of people. That is great for our small business. I tried again on Tuesday and voila, nobody but me for the most part. Love it.
I wish we has some snow.

    Good Morning Mary n Hazel!
Nice to get into my sewing room yesterday! Have quite a few projects to finish!
I did finish Christmas cards earlier and received one yesterday! Will mail our cards in a few days!
Happy Holidays to all your blog readers!
    We are really needing snow!

Mary, I was watching a You Tube quilter in our age range as she presented Christmas gift ideas. For our hands, Comfier hand & carpal tunnel massager. It has 3 heat & 3 massage intensities. The power comes from plugging it into an USB plug. I can’t begin to tell you how magical it feels!! Buy it on Amazon. (She recommended buying 2–more efficient timewise!)

I too like Jo have been cleaning my sewing room which I asked myself numerous times why now! But it needed thinning and I had an outlet to send some threads, patterns, knits, ribbons, etc that could go to a needed person so I seized the chance. Our thrift stores here are getting overrun by people getting rid of possessions that I wondered why they are limiting donations and I guess they can’t get rid of some things without paying to toss them. Kinda sad when you think how much excess there is . Anyways the best part was I found some of my older Country Threads patterns like the one called winter with mittens on it!! I am so excited to see them front and center looking at me now. I have many from years ago I bought and so thankful I have saved them as fate has once again shown me we never know!

Kathy – oh dear! What goes around comes around? What’s old is new again? Something like that!

For anyone who has experienced the sudden loss of a loved one, you should read “Three More Months ” by Sarah Echavarre. I got it on Amazon Prime as a new free book for November. WOW! Does it make you stop and think you better stop and smell the roses while you still can.
