We are so sorry you are sick, Mary. We are sending positive vibes for recovery.
There is so much sickness here; we have Covid, flu, and pneumonia. Our friends’ 14-year-old granddaughter was hospitalized Feb 3 with all three diseases. She has been so sick, but finally started improving a couple days ago.
    Hugs/Take Care, 🥰

Get well soon! Sorry to hear you’ve gotten whatever is going around. A lot have been sick in my area, too.

I am so sorry you have it, too. I have had it for two weeks and am almost over it. I did half a dose of NyQuil severe at night and DayQuil in the daytime. I also sucked on lots of cough drops. The NyQuil really helped me sleep! Hope this helps, Mary.

Mary, so sorry you have this terrible lingering cough. I know so many have had it and said the same, the painful ribs, abs, and everything from coughing is horrible. I also know a few that needed antibiotics and within a few days the cough was gone. Hoping you get better soon.

I’m so sorry you’re not feeling well. A bad cough is miserable; I hope it will get better real soon! I agree with the others who suggested calling your doc tomorrow, hopefully get a good prescription cough syrup. Drink lots of fluids too, hot tea, soups and other soothing things.

I vote for the hot toddy! I also found a warm vaporizer helps a lot to reduce the irritation in the lungs.
    We’re all pulling for you.

Creeping Crud is yucky! Totally understand the irritation of playing the piano with a cough – no fun. Feel better soon!

    Mary,
Sorry you’re not feeling well. Cough drops, fluids and rest if you can.
There are 3 men’s ncaa basketball games on today so you can watch those and put your feet up and dogs near. Take care! 🌻

So many folks with the cough that goes on forever, hope you get better soon. Take care of your self, rest, drink plenty of fluids.

This happened to me last year at this time. I slept in a recliner for weeks (which means I just dozed). At the end of three weeks, I went to the doctor. She said it was probably allergies but assigned me an antibiotic anyway. I was clear in two days. Don’t think it was an allergy! So don’t wait as long as I did. I know just what the others said about ribs and chest aching. We sometimes just don’t bounce back the way we used to as kids. I really like the many suggestions for soothing the sickness. Hope any/all of them help. After a while, the lack of good sleep and the over-the-counter meds can make you feel so irritable.

So sorry about your feeling so bad. I agree about seeing the doctor on Monday if you are not better. It seems that these viruses are so widespread this winter. We are all pulling for you to get back to your normal strength as soon as possible. Take excellent care of yourself. You deserve it!

So sorry your sick Mary! I had the same thing a couple weeks ago, a nasty cold & cough, my ribs hurt so bad from coughing & blowing my nose! I didn’t go to the Dr. I just drank a lot of water & rested if I could! I put Vicks in the bottom of my shower & my daughter brought me some I Love Lemon tea, eventually I recovered! Just got out yesterday for the first time in 2 weeks, part of that was because my driveway was a sheet of ice & my kids had me on lock down 😞 get well soon Mary!!

Take care of yourself. A cough is so awful and sometimes so hard to shake. See if your Doctor can prescribe you a really strong cough syrup so you can get a break from your cough and get some rest.

I’m sad to hear this cough is worse. Take good care of yourself and come back when you feel better. It just makes us anticipate your return. In the meantime, I’ll be praying for you.

Mary sorry that you have a bad cough. Hopefully this will pass quickly. We are back home from Texas and Kim is definitely on the mend. We were able to do a lot of things for her while we were there but I realize I’m not as young as I used to be. The stamina is just not what it used to be.
Take care and rest when you can.

Rita – so glad to hear Kim is on the mend! She wouldn’t have been so quickly without your help!

Very nasty upper respiratory infection making the rounds here in PA also. Rest, tea with honey & maybe a shot of whiskey 😉. Hope you feel better soon.

Lots of flu, covid, and bad cold germs floating around. Travel on planes is a risky business right now. I hope your cough abates and you feel better soon. It sure can wear you out and make your ribs hurt. My grandmother always said a hot cup of tea with a spoonful of brandy helped. I rhink the tea helped snd the brandy helped her not care!! 😋
    Get well soon.

Mary, praying you feel better. I feel your pain – I caught the virus. Was in bed for a week. Everyone I know that has gotten it said it takes 2-3 weeks to start feeling better and the cough lasts forever. The coughing is THE WORST! The only thing that seems to have helped me is Mucinex and cough syrup. It just seems to lessen it, doesn’t stop the cough totally. My abs are so sore from coughing. Just rest. Lots of tea with honey. Praying for everyone that has caught this virus — it is nasty.

I have personally called the anticough fairy. She is currently assisting a couple other coughers but will come to see you as soon as she can. In the meantime, please take care!! 🧚‍♂️😷

Hi Mary, I hope you feel better soon. I hope you have been to the Dr. This upper respiratory virus is rampant. I feel so bad for you. I had it and it was terrible. So many friends have had it, too. Hot tea with honey. Feel better soon!!

My husband had a bad cough last month-Dr can now test for flu and Covid both with one test. He didn’t have either but had a virus. Took weeks to go away. Hope you feel better soon.

  22. Sharon G.

    Take care Mary.
If not better by Monday, call your doctor to see if you need to see him.
Thinking of you and hope you get better soon.

    Take care everyone.
