The Xerox part came today and here is my mailbox.

If you’re waiting for a pattern order, it’s on its way – whew!
I am surprised and thrilled that Rina wrote today from South Africa – I wonder how she knows about the blog.
Glad you liked the quilt show yesterday – I, too, thought it was exceptional! Send me your pictures! They’re the best part of the blog – oh, unless it’s the rat report! Haha!!!
That’s a lot of mail! Cool here today. I love it! I am finishing our daughter’s 50th birthday quilt. The fabric I needed to finish it came from Material Girls in Abilene, Kansas. I ordered through Etsy😀.
Nope, not rats, Mary – haha – it’s the pictures of quilts and pets and friendships we feel here! And I do love knowing where everyone is from too.
So I got the skinny on the house I visited this weekend that I didn’t take pictures of but sure will remember next time now that you like that kind of “stuff” too. She has painters in there today painting every room the same color to “flow” through out the place. The lady stenciled many of the rooms. Her sewing room was brighter with those ceiling/roof natural light domes than mine with several OTT lights I use now. I am not a realtor but I imagine the one who is listing it for her is in a hurry to do it cause should bring in a pretty good commission with the gorgeous acreage. I hope with the metal barn ( floor was half concrete and other part gravel I think) on the property someone with a horse might be interested. She used the barn for our church choir practice some times!
Kathy – oh, wow! Choir practice! I would love to see this house!
Your mail will keep you busy for a while!! Yes will be interesting to find out how Rina got your blog. I just like your email/blog no matter what you have in it. Is always interesting. Rats–well another story totally
for them. Just will be nice when they are totally gone.
What’s that in the right corner of your mailbox cover? I can’t make it out…
Patty in Central GA – that is a secured can with a lid for our propane driver to leave our bill in when he fills our tanks. High tech, huh?
Glenda – Hazel found a dead rat today – yay! That poison must have started working!
How do I order the Layer by Layer quilt pattern? I don’t see it listed.
Glenda Nations – only advertised on the blog – I have explained this several times – mail $5 to Country Threads and I’ll be happy to mail it out to you.
After all your frustrations last week, I’m glad issues are settling down this week.
It snowed this morning, now it’s raining. Love the moisture.
Wow! You must have gotten right with Xeroxing the patterns. Buyers will be happy to see them coming.
I have a wall hanging that I have been meaning to send to you. 1st the photo. (I don’t use my phone.) Then the sending through email.
Our worlds have changed so much even after becoming seniors. I still don’t know if they are good changes or bad ones. Sometimes I miss the old days. Sometimes I am glad we are in the new days. I really do like my computer, though, and would hate to do without it.
Loved the quilt show ! Thanks so much 🙂 We finally have some warm, sunny days but there are still snow piles around , especially in wooded areas. My May quilt picture will also have snow in it !
Don’t forget the lady in British Columbia and Fiona in Netherlands? Think there might be a couple more in Canada, too. Isn’t it just wonderful fun to be able to hear from ladies from all over who enjoy the same stuff we like? Mary, you, your patterns, your critters, your trials and tribulations and everything just keeps us all quilted together all over the world. That’s nice. That is quite an accomplishment. Thankyou.
Between finishing up quilts started years ago, sorting thru piles of patterns and fabric, other stuff, my living room just keeps getting really cluttered!
Take care, everybody. This will pass. Betty in Rapid City
Betty K – your living room sounds like my sewing room! But I’m always planning or laying out fabrics – I just need to get a few things finished! Oh, I didn’t forget them but this gal is the first I’ve heard from in South Africa. There’s Trish in Buenos Aires, too!
Ditto.
Great quilt show. Enjoy them so much.
Finally planted my garden today. Hope the weather stays warmer. Last weeks hail shredded my rhubarb patch. Nothing else in the yard had damage.I hope it comes back. This is the first year I could pick it. I made 2 pies and muffins, so we at least had some.
Our three grand children and families are coming to visit this summer. All picked a different week. It will be nice to see everyone.
Mary I hope you catch all the rats soon!! I hear a noice and almost jump out of my skin, the thought gives me the creeps.
Hi Mary – when I read your post about your copier not working I thought I wouldn’t receive my copy of layer by layer for a while but it was in my mailbox the next day! I have my fabric picked out ready to make a quilt for a sweet baby girl that is expected in a few months. Thank You!!
Vivian in Idaho – I had several copies already made so was able to fill some orders – glad you got it!
Just love your mail box area! Love the blog and comments! Betty makes me feel good! Got fabric in living room done but got finish it! Just found where coyotes been at my house. Scary. My neighbor does try to put control on them. Here rain lots of it! Suppose to rain 2 more days! Mowing going b crazy! Weeding harder! Love the quilts other day! Take care.
Good news about Xerox; gotta send my order. Bad news last week…Monday we found out we needed a new air conditioner AND furnace. Good news is that the installation over the last two days was in 70 degree weather. Then last Wednesday, the dryer stopped working; repairman coming Thursday. I lost my cell phone the next day, and realized I had made 14! stops. The next day I asked for a little help from St. Anthony as I traced my steps. My fourth stop, TJ Maxx, it was found. Hooray! (but sobering how much we count on those phones!)
Love your farm, Rick, goat, cat, Hazel, dog, Little Red, and even rat stories!
Meredith – I can sympathize with your bad week! When one th8ng quits, others are sure to follow. I’m not sure I could follow all those stops and honestly we all live with our phones which is unfortunate- remember when we had to walk into the next room to answer the phone hanging on the wall? Haha! Xerox is fixed and I’m back in business! Yay!!!
Hi Mary
I have signed up for your newsletter a few years back..I read all of them.
I love farm animals, dogs and cats and most of all beautiful house plants.
Enjoy your day

Rina – but how did you find me? The quilt world? A friend? How?
One of the reasons why I keep my home phone is to be able to call my cell phone when I can’t find it in the house. Haha!
Hi Mary
I think I fiund out about you through Jo’ Country Junction or while browsing through quilting sites…
Regards

Rina – that makes sense – Jo is a good friend and I always read her blog. Don’t you love being connected to other quilters around the world?
