Remember these plaid brushed cottons? Watching March Madness gives me time at the sewing machine so this UFO is finished.
The front of the quilt took much less time than the back which I pieced with yardage and scraps on hand.
I think I can call this a reversible quilt.
We are definitely in mud season – I’ve been giving dog baths every day for three days now. Why you ask?
Telly looks the same. They have had a blast digging in the brush piles in our grove.
So funny to see the mud story. I was visiting with my friend from Georgetown TX today and she was telling me she couldn’t let her little dog run free in the backyard as it was so muddy and the dog loves to roll in it…and she doesn’t want to keep, giving him a bath.
Forgot…I love that quilt…I have a lot of brushed cotton fabric to use…..
A lovely new quilt and a muddy, happy dog. Spring must be here.
Ahhh, Spring. March Madness and mud, what more could you want? The quilt looks so soft and comfortable.
How much fun playing in the mud. Have been watching the basketball games also..love March madness.,
Love that quilt…….. I have been looking for ways to use up my scraps. I may try one like this. I have been using scraps on hand for the backs of my quilts for some time now.
Mary…..your Hazel looks happy as a clam.,,,,what fun they’re having in the mud !!!
Love the quilt! Hazel looks like she had a great time!
I love the muddy picture! Dogs and mud go together. Are they looking for rodents beneath the brush?
MartyCae -yes – looking for rodents, etc.
‘still thinking about your last post about you and Rick. We have some things in common: high school sweethearts, madras shorts, love of quilts and animals, to name a few. Always wishing you well! G.
Spring mud is not my favorite time of the year… I have a Telly too …only in black! It’s endless! My thoughts and prayers will be for you all tomorrow. Praying for successful surgery and a speedy complete recovery 💗
What a charming quilt. I love it. I have ‘way too many to count’ brushed cotton fat quarters. Your quilt inspires me to use them up. I love pieced backs as well. Much more interesting to enjoy.
Laughing at that cute, little Hazel. I love the muted colors in your quilt. Looks like it’s already been well loved.
Laughing at that picture of Hazel. You need a mud room with a built in dog bath. I almost like the back better that the front of your quilt.
Black dogs don’t show the dirt as easily….LOL
Being that Hazel is so white, that mud really shows on her. My, but she looks happy.
