Here’s the latest – Mayo can’t find my path report. Remember my friend, Kathy? She works at the cancer center and is now my latest source of info – who to ask, who to call, what records they need, which doctor, nurse practitioner etc. My eyes crossed just trying to follow it all while not feeling well. I slept in the recliner most of the afternoon.

I asked for sewing room pictures so here we go – I may have to break it down into 2 posts. It’s so fun looking at all the details in each room! From messy to pristine, each has its own charm.

But first a glimpse at those adorable bluebird babies.

So sweet!!

Ok, now I am worried! How are you? I know this has to be hard, let’s be serious, it’s hard to be the patient when you’ve always been the caretaker. I hope you are feeling better, that the world is looking better. Did you see the game tonight? Hot damn. Hugs and hopes for fast healing.

To the person(s) with the white shelves and all the fabric and thread: That is some stash! I joke about how much stash I have, but it is nothing compared to yours. And yours is lovingly folded and organized. I can sigh and wish mine looked as good, but I will live with mine as it is. Have fun with all your creating possibilities.

I must chime in and agree with your observations, I am amazied at the stashes and how beautifully everything is arranged! I loved the choices of s5orage shelving as well! Please tell us who is your source? I love the shelving from IKEA but we live too far away and I have cube shelving from Menards, and I wondered what type of flooring Julie B will be getting! I loved seeing your sewing spaces! I will try to keep my space more neat and tidy for a bit! Thanks everyone for sharing.

How frustrating with mayo and your lab results. I loved seeing all of the pictures of the sewing spaces, so many great ideas. In our new home my sewing space is still just boxes piled in the middle of the room, ha. I may go down and snap a picture for you all to see. Its the largest space I have ever had all for my quilting, 550sq feet. I loved seeing the ribbons on the wall, the mobile hanging from the ceiling and all those neat and tidy closets spaces.

Mary- this must be so frustrating for you- I hope you get your results soon!

Boy, I don’t feel bad about my stash after seeing a couple of these photos! My “stuff” is all over in our basement, and it’s pretty messy, but I’ll try to get down there for a few pictures today.

I’m so sorry about the problem with the lab results. I’m afraid that’s medicine in these times.

Oh, those perfectly organized sewing rooms! I’d be ashamed for anyone to see mine, but I still love being in it most of the day!

I also recognized those last three pictures as belonging to Gloria lol! So very beautiful! I have loved it when Mary has included the tours of Gloria’s house. The sewing rooms have been very inspirational. I will try to send along a picture or two of mine although it won’t be nearly as nice as these. But it is my happy place.
Mary, I am praying for you and this health journey you are on.

These sewing room pictures are so fun to see. Everyone has great ideas for storage and I found myself enlarging them to see it all. Our sewing rooms are our happy spaces so it shows with all our notions, fabrics to see, and collections of nic naks.
I’m glad you have an advocate close by to help you with it. Results should be transferred electronically so they should resend them from the original pathology department unless the specimen was sent directly to Mayo to analyz and they’ll hunt it down. Many times at the lab I worked for, I was the detective who followed the path till a tube of blood or specimen was located for resulting. No stone gets unturned till there is an acceptable explanation of what happened so have faith it will be located.

Mary , thanks for sharing these sewing rooms, I have not seen that much fabric in one person’s collection..
Let’s hope by now Mayo, has located your much needed information 🤞🏼

Normally infants are the most adorable – the exception is newly hatched birds. It’s lucky they grow fast. Sorry.

That has to be frustrating dealing with Mayo. I know you want answers and the wait has to be miserable.
Wow, on the sewing rooms. I don’t feel so bad about my fabric stash, now. Hopefully, those women are younger than me! I don’t think I will ever finish everything, I have.

Its fascinating to see the sewing spaces of fellow quilters. I had to make the pics larger and look at every detail. So fun! Thanks to all who shared!
Mary, I sympathize with your struggles to get appointments scheduled. Its frustrating and exhausting, but have faith that it will get straightened out soon. Thank God for a friend who knows the system and can help guide you through. Prayers for a quiet, restful weekend for you.

the very last picture in this post has the most amazing piece of furniture. i don’t think i’ve ever seen anything like it. and then you just added things on top of it including a funky christmas tree. great! does it have a name or was it special made? just beautiful.
all these sewing rooms just give out all kinds of vibes for new ideas of how to store and/or display products, so generous of you to share. now i’m off to see what is in the next group.
gentle hugs to everyone, patti in florida

Patti, years ago I made a Christmas tree using grapevine wrapped around a frame my husband made that was shaped like a tree. I think it is the same thing.

    2. Carla J in the mitten

      Patti,
The piece of furniture you mention looks like a piece I’ve seen used a local family owned garden store. The business used the smaller top portion for garden seeds the lower section bulbs and tubers like onions and potatoes.

    3. Gloria from CC

Patti – the piece of furniture is a seed cabinet. The seed packet was slid behind each piece of glass in front of the long narrow drawers. The inventory of packets was behind in the drawer. I purchased this cabinet from – ta da – Mary when she closed Country Threads. One of my favorite antiques.

I knew it looked like a “Gloria” house picture! Gosh we’re getting to know readers well.

So sorry about the mess with your labs; just not acceptable and not good for you.
    The bluebirds are so sweet.
The sewing room pics are wonderful. We were busy today, and I forgot to do that.
    Love & Prayers, Mary

I cannot imagine the homes the rooms are part of. If we knocked down all of our walls we might have something close. Thanks for sharing. Also very impressed with all the ribbons. I am assuming they are for quilts.

  15. Donna Jo

Mary sorry about your issues with Mayo. That just adds more stress to your life. You’re lucky you have a friend there who can help you navigate everything.

  16. Sheryl Harrison

WOW! These rooms are amazing! To the person with the ribbons…are those from quilt shows?
