This gorgeous photo was sent to me by friends in Montana – from the internet! It was just a beautiful picture so I added it to the end of my post and I should have said that. I am so sorry to mislead all of you! It’s not pretty like that here in North Iowa and maybe won’t be this year at all after no rain all summer.
I hope this clears up all the confusion. My apologies.
It is a pretty picture no matter what. Our leaves are turning in NE WIsconsin and many pumpkins available
Oops! Beautiful photo, nonetheless! Happy to view it!
Gosh I don’t care where the picture was taken. It’s beautiful taken anywhere!
I love the photo with that beautiful orange! No apology needed! Thanks for sharing it with us.😊
It is still a pretty picture no matter where it was taken. I like your now sewing room in the chicken coop. I remember it from visiting yours and Connie’s shop a few times. I liked it very much as your taste was like
mine. Could always find something. Still have your patterns in my stash. I have closets with fabric in them. (Each one not full.) OMG Been trying to use what I have. Very hard as always see new that I like. Especially when you, Mary or Connie, make a quilt and the fabric is so neat or you post a picture sent to you by one of us. Been designating some of my fabric that I am not crazy for anymore to charity quilts. At least they will be put to good use. Was wondering about the Junkin Gal in Garner. Would it be worth a road trip to Garner to see? Coming from Lennox, SD it would be east all the way. Would you know of any thing else that would be interesting to see on the way. Quilt shops or antique places.
Trying to remember what shops we all saw on our adventure into north Iowa. Estherville use to have 2. Sanborn one closed. Don’t remember any antique places. Blanche is coming along. Give her time and
I bet she will come in. That is really sad to see. Am in the process of sizing my squares for the quilt I am working on. I have a couple others ready to start too. When I get some fabric out, I go through my patterns and wait til something pops out at me that will work. Usually always find something to work. Or see a pattern and say, Oh I got just the right fabric for it. We are going to be in the 80’s today and the next three days. Very unusual for SD. Getting dry again. Farmers need that about now to get what they have of a crop in.
Glenda Fletcher – I am also trying to use what I have and the thing is, I still like it!! I have way too many ideas but I am now finishing up the binding on #9. October 1 is coming this week and I want to be finished with last month’s Dirty Dozen project before I have another one to do! I took some more pictures of the shop and it’s clear I like “stuff”. Haha!
Since I don’t go anywhere I have no idea what’s west of me – Junkin Gal is good for Garner but small in terms of antique/craft malls. They are open only 2 days a week. Connie would be able to answer this question much better than me since she spends half the week at Okoboji. Don’t make the trip until I have some answers for you.
No worries! I enjoyed the pic, no matter the source!
I agree with everyone, no matter where it came from, it’s beautiful.
Just this year I’ve heard comments about the trees needing more water for fall colors to be magnificent.
I’ve never heard that before.
I treated my self to a new coffee cup last week…it has birds, pumpkins, 🍁, so I can enjoy a little fall colors every morning!
Beautiful picture, love the orange color. The trees are just starting to change color here in NY. Love the fall! Hope to mow again today if the sun comes out!!
Great picture wherever, but my comment “Is this Heaven? No, it’s Iowa!” was about your sewing room!! LOL 😎
Hey, no biggy. It was a stunning photo and it’ll probably happen sometime, somewhere this year!! LOL
Don’t worry! I enjoyed that fall picture! Our trees are very green in northwest Iowa . Not sure when they will have color, if they do. Happy sorting.
Makes no diff where the pic was taken….it’s beautiful! Thanks for sharing!
Love this picture! I saw a picture of the Black Cat Tuesday quilt and love it! I hope one day you might consider adding it to the store.
Linda Gabor – the applique pieces are really large for the online store but I’ll be glad to copy it for you and mail it for $15 – address on our home page. Be sure to tell me what you’re ordering.
You are wonderful! I’ll be in touch!
