We lasted till the game was over at 2 am – didn’t you just know somebody would hit a solo home run to win it? By the time I showered and got ready for bed it was 2:30 and I was so keyed up about the game evidently I couldn’t get to sleep. Am I the only one this happens to?
Sue sent pictures of her Halloween projects made thru the years:

From another reader:

Goodnight from Mortie!

I watched a couple tutorials about using the camera on iPad. Basically, you just tap the item you want to focus on and snap the picture. My camera has a line across the middle that when focused, it turns yellow. I’m not sure how I got it, but there’s probably a tutorial for it!
Is Hazel jealous of Mortie? Does she get “lap time” too or just Mortie? They are both really cute.
Tina – oh, Hazel got my lap for a couple hours this afternoon – Mortie almost never sits in my lap but she’s always close. I don’t think I have any trouble with my IPad camera but this reader does and she has such great quilts!
Sue, your sad face pumpkin at the end of your photo series made me laugh out loud! What a change from the grinning variety. I enjoyed the woolie (?) pumpkin bunch on the chair also, and I’ll bet the fall Twister quilt is pretty. Thanks for sharing.
Kudos to whoever made the strippy bag. It’s just my style.
Mortie knows a comfy quilt when she sees one, doesn’t she. I’m sitting in a sunbeam right now, but a quilt and a cup of tea are in my near future. I’m another member of the Can’t Sleep Club, so I sewed all night. I used donated orphan blocks and two more LWR quilt tops are ready to send to church. Next up…two wildlife panels to piece out with some “not favorite” darks from my stash.
Take care everyone. Kris in WI
I stayed up for the entire 18 innings. Sadly, after all that time, one team was going to be very disappointed. I got about 4 hours of sleep and then had the excitement of last night’s game. This has been a good series I must say. Love seeing pictures of the projects. And that Mortie!!!!! She’s so sweet!
Sue’s Halloween projects are wonderful. I especially love those primitive black cats with the Cheshire grins.
And that Morty is a natural when she poses for pictures. I think she might be knocking Hazel off her throne!
I’ve learned that I can’t stay up late & watch exciting ball games. It completely ruins a night of good sleep for me. Tom usually stays up & then he wakes me & lets me know the score. Even he gave up during the 18 inning game.
We had a lot of rain and wind. Surprised to see so many leaves left on the trees. I was home by 3 yesterday from retreat.
Mortie is such a sweet kitty. She looks right at the camera. She is full of personality. I had a “fluffy bun” on my front porch this morning.
Sue, loved your Halloween projects.
Those Halloween projects are just too cute, Sue. Thanks for sharing.
Don’t you just hate it when you can’t sleep!! I have that problem, too. What an exciting game to watch.
I think it’s going to rain for the Trick-or-Treaters on Thursday night. And it’s just been so perfect lately. 😢
I have a sunset Maple tree in the back that is just turning orange. Beautiful.
Loved the Halloween pumpkins! And Morty is so sweet. Glad the ‘cat distribution system’ brought him to you. Regarding the blurry pictures, maybe it’s something as simple as a smudge on the camera lens. Thank-you for the blog about nothing!
Sue’s collection of Halloween decor is wonderful. Love the primitive look in general, but vintage Halloween is the best. Nice sewing Sue.
My mom used to talk about not being able to get to sleep after visiting someone in the evening, or going somewhere in the evening…guess that’s the stage we are in. But, hubby sleeps right away….who knows. Guess some of us are just wired different.
Another trip to SF for us yesterday. Jay had a dermatologist appointment to remove some basal cell on his left cheek. Big patch! Tomorrow e go for his eye checkup after surgery. The car should know the way!
Thanks Sue for sharing pictures of your Halloween projects. I also love the bag made by another reader.
When my pictures come out blurry I find that adding more light helps a lot. Outside works best for my tablet.
Loved all of the Halloween projects. Loved Mortie too.
Halloween is my favorite holiday, love all the pics from Sue. Have a good day everyone!
Love Sue’s decorations – the pumpkin/cat quilt is so fun! And Mortie is sooooo sweet
What a precious girl mortie is! She appears to be very happy in her new home. The Halloween items were so much fun. Those cats!
Hi Mary, Morty seems to have all the best places sorted out!The Baltimore as a first quilt is amazing! Doing a bit of spring cleaning, bathroom floor cleared and mopped, today started on laundry, space looking better l think. Still working away on my autumn leaf blocks and simple flower block hand stitching. Take care everyone, best wishes from Sandy
Once Mortie grows into his feet, he’s going to be a MUCH bigger cat. He has such a sweet face! I have trouble sleeping after anything that raises my anger or frustrates me…which I assume is what you felt! Magnesium Gluconate works wonders in helping us sleep at night, plus I take 5mg of Melatonin as I’ve always had trouble staying asleep. Our son let me borrow a noise machine from Amazon (there’s a notation on the bottom with “Zigbee” notated)…I ask it to play “Green Noise”, and it stops my mind from thinking, which has always been my problem…I couldn’t turn my brain off. Why not buy one & try it? If it doesn’t work for you, you can return it within 30 days (check the ad, just in case). I even used it when I took a nap today after getting into heated conversation this morning with a rep from the company that starts with “F” (trying to move my retirement money OUT & they are trying to keep it there). Laid down still upset, went to sleep with the machine running and woke up 2 hours later completely rested & relaxed. Highly recommend it!
