Good Morning! Here’s your entertainment with your coffee. If you haven’t sent your Christmas pictures to me, please do – we all love them!

The next pictures are from my friend Gloria who has a sewing lodge on her property and she LOVES to decorate. As you can see she is a real collector and this didn’t happen overnight. I have seen her display in person and it is breathtaking. I gave her permission to include more than 4 pictures because I personally wanted to visit via blog post. Pour yourself another cup of coffee and enjoy!

And look at this great idea! Pillowcases with handles for kids being removed from dangerous situations.

And I leave you with Mortie – relaxing on the back of Connie’s old chair that all my animals choose first.

And here’s Biscuit – alarmed at an intruder outside the front door! Maybe it’s Clifford, the big red dog?

Thank you for making this happy showing possible. I could not possibly choose a single favorite. They are so beautiful. Makes me want to climb up in the storage area and get more thing sdown.
Beautiful pictures on this blog! Love all the Christmas decorations and quilts. I really loved the Christmas tree pillowcase! Take care, everyone.
Thank you everyone for your kind words about my Christmas decorations and to Mary for such a nice introduction to the pictures.
It just started snowing here. None of my feral cats/kittens showed up today. Maybe the hunters are scaring them away.
Thank you, Mary, for this beautiful post. So much to enjoy. What caught my eye was the tree skirt for the small Christmas tree and the manger embroidery as I love to embroider.
Everyone is using their talents and sharing.
I absolutely love the red and white quilt!
I’m getting absolutely nothing accomplished because I am watching the snow come down, and wow is it coming down! Ugh!
And of course, Mortie on the chair! Love her!
And all the other pictures!
Stay safe in this winter weather!
Just wow is all I can say. Thanks ladies for sharing your treasures. I’m with those who love the red and white quilt. Just stunning. Mortie is such a sweetie. All our cat does is lay in the chair and sleep.
Hunters are out hunting this morning. Two deers when through the yard and into the Park pasture across the road. Hope they made it for another day. Turkeys also visited this morning. I guess gettin ready for the snow were to get later today. Put an 1940 Singer sewing machine that’s in a Queen Anne cabinet on Facebook marketplace this morning. Hope someone will want it.
Those who are going to get snow today stay safe.
Gloria’s decorations are astounding!
It’s impossible not to be in the Christmas spirit after reading the blog today. What treasures your friend Gloria shared today. The red & when quilt is a beauty, just like that sweet little Mortie. Poor Biscuit. Boone would have driven us crazy until we let him out to scare the intruder away.
What a way to begin the day!! Phenomenal displays! Thank you everyone for sharing. I feel like I have been to a Christmas museum without leaving my home. Mary, thanks for making this happen.
I love the fur coats hanging on the chairs! I have a couple black fur cots, I’m going to get them out! Absolutely her house is done top notch! Thank you for sharing! So much work but so well done!
Great pictures today, it is fun to see all the decorations!
What a delight to see everyone’s decorations. Beautiful. I always love a red and white quilt. Mortie is a lucky little kitten to find her forever home. Biscuit reminds me of a beagle I once had. She was scared of the Raggedy Ann dolls sitting in a low window in the baby’s room.
I am drooling over all of Gloria’s “stuff”. Thanks to Gloria and YOU, Mary, for sharing.
Linda – Gloria has the most unique and rare antiques I’ve ever seen in a home. I don’t know how she manages to dust it all
Love the decorations. The red and white quilt is awesome. And I love the long quilt by the door. Instead of a full blown quilt when wall space is scarce, a long table runner or bed runner works. I need to get a pic or two to you Mary, but I am lacking in elves to get the other stuff done, like decorating. Ha
Thank you for all the wonderful photos!
And sweet, sweet Mortie!!!
What a treat to see all the Christmas decorations! It is almost like going on a house walk. When I read the comment about keeping mice away by playing a radio 24/7, I got a mental picture of all the mice having a big party and dancing all night long! I can tell that Gloria’s sewing lodge is very special at any time, but those decorations take it to the next level for sure. All the snow from the blizzard on Nov. 29 is still on the ground due to extremely cold temps here which will persist for at least the next ten days – brrrr! So thankful for our warm house. I can’t imagine what life on the prairie must have been like 200 years ago. Those people were tough!
Is that a green bird in the tree?
As everyone has already said – WOW! What fun to see great decorating. That Mortie is a comic all her own and what a beauty. Let’s see if I can get a picture and send it.
One way to keep mice out is to have a radio playing 24/7. Obviously you won’t do that in the house but my husband has it in his shop and a lot of farmers do that as well. It’s probably not fool proof but it seems to help.
Janet – I play a radio in my barn, too but I also have Barney who is an excellent mouser.
How gorgeous! Those pictures are so inspiring!
I don’t decorate much, except at Christmas. It takes a lot of help with our plant ledges, which are so high. Son and daughter-in-law are coming to help today. Hurrah!
Erin – okay, you got me – what’s a plant ledge? Show me, please. If you have a plant collection, I’d love to see it.
Mary, I’m doing amazingly well for my age. Even ventured out to get a haircut yesterday and it made me feel like a new woman. (Don’t I wish).
Was ok’d to finally get my flu shot, but the SafeWay stores were out of the vaccine. We stopped at the hearing aid store fora quick repair job on my right hearing aid and decided to head for home. I’ll have to call around and see where I can get the closest vaccine. My PET scan is scheduled for Dec16, so I’m trying to get mentally and physically ready for whatever comes after that.

Wonderful displays today. Loved every pic. Little Mortie is so cute.
Wow, just Wow. What a fantastic show of holiday decorations. The red and white quilt is beautiful, a piece of art. I could spend all day at Gloria’s lodge looking at her collections. You have a knack for putting together the different arrangements.
Mary, what has happened to Fluffy buns? It would be fun seeing pictures of all your cats and kittens in one blog. How many do you have in your care at the present time? We could use one at our house right now, my daughter saw a mouse run across the dining room floor the other day. I suspect he/she is hiding in one of the big potted plants by the sliding glass door. Haven’t seen an evidence anywhere else. Does anyone have a foolproof method of getting rid of them? We don’t have any pets anymore to scare them away. Love the blog and all who contribute to it every day,
And especially Mary, who makes it all possible. Stay warm and safe everyone. Jeanne in Co.
Jeanne – I’ll post all my cats. I’m wondering how you’re doing – feeling well? I’m so glad to have you leaving comments again!
