More enjoyment ahead!

Short post tonight – brrrr, it’s sooooo cold!

If you have already ordered Civil War Modern, your copy is going in the mail this week – probably Tuesday.
A reader asked for the directions for the log cabin eyeglass case that we did a couple years ago. Too bad I’m not smarter because then I’d repost all the directions here …… but I’m not. Search for these two dates – 10-30-23 and 11-6-23. All directions are there.

I’ll repost when I figure it out.

Hi Mary, Just have to say again Mortie is absolutely precious ❤️ Three also of course! I have your instructions for eyeglass case. I made several.
Mortie is the smartest cat!
It got foggy after we got up this morning and now they say it is staying for the day. Well, we had 6 inches of snow on Saturday and they are predicting lots of wind Tuesday night. We can get out but do not need to so Jay is going to wait until after the wind to scoop with the tractor.
He is feeding corn to the pheasants and birds. They are loving it.
Joy – Tuesday night and Weds don’t sound good!! The snow we have on the ground is very fluffy!
What a treat today. Love the nativity wall hanging & your Civil War modern quilt. Three looks right at home under the tree & that little bugger Mortie sure knows how to keep warm.
I love the picture of Morty. Sometimes I wish I was that small so I could do the same. I get so cold..
Terri S, When I was little we would sit on the heat register with our long nightgowns covering the heat register and our nightgown would fill with warm air. I totally forgot about doing that till you said that you sometimes wish you were small so you could do that. Funny how that comment brought that memory back.
Love all the pictures. Can’t wait for my granddaughter to come do mine. She is a wonderful person and a great decorator since I can’t do it this year. Love her to the moon and back❤️❤️❤️
The photos today had a nostalgic look. So country and pretty. Even Mortie had that look! I have almost completed my decorating and will try to send a pic or two. But I got a huge compliment when the carolers came on Sunday. Someone said my house always looks comfy. Same group came as did last yr. plus one. The pastor ad wife added another child to make 5 for them! They are so well behaved and the oldest was singing his heart out. The violin player always adds so much to it. Made my day!
Smart Morty, laying on the register. He know where it’s warm!
Mary,
Your quilt shown in this post is stunning.

Beautiful holiday decor.
Mary, I love your Civil War Modern; it’s beautiful! Three is so precious sleeping under Morti’s Christmas tree. 😊 And Morti is just adorable as always.
Thanks for the blog. 🥰
Mary I took screen shots of your directions with pictures but I can’t remember what the date of the post was. I have them saved on my computer if you need them. I’m not a whiz with my computer, but I think I might be able to send them to you . These were the measurements that you gave at that time
Backing -8 inch square
Batting 8 inch square
Center square 1 and 1/2 inch square
Strips 3/4 inch.
Ginger – ok! I listed the dates in the post tonight. I should be able to figure this out with a little more time.
