You all know Farmer Tim and now I want you to meet his wife Ellen. Ellen loves flowers and a couple years ago started working on succession perennial flower beds in her yard around the house. Now she has blooming flowers all summer and has jumped into succession cut flower gardening.

Here are examples of her lovely flowers:

Beautiful flowers 😍
I was so happy to see the Comment appear after being gone. The flowers were lovely. Thanks to you and your readers.
Ellen’s flowers are beautiful; she has the talent!
Since we are staying in the next few “toasty” days, I plan to make positive strides in my sewing room.
Thanks, Mary 🥰
Thank you all for the “garden walk” this afternoon! The last two posts have had a lovely variety of blooms and colors. This was such a good idea, Mary. Good luck to you, Ellen, with wishes that your business is a success, bringing joy to your customers.
We just hit 90* for the first time this year (SC WI). Thankfully, no severe weather forecast for us.
Mary, I read the blog on the laptop and have not had any issues with reading the comments or posting, but I’m glad things are fixed for others because the comments double the fun of the blog! Kris
Thank you for the beautiful flowers. I hope Ellen does very well in her new business. It looks like it will be a great success.
Yes, the Comment rectangle is back. Yippee. It was 89* here a while ago, but it just started raining so it is 78* now. That won’t last b/c it is going to be in the mid to high 90’s for the next 7 or 8 days. UGH. I like 72*!
I am working on quilting this week in the AC.
Rainy day here near Marshall MN! Almost 1.5”. Larry got home from Regions Hospital on Saturday afternoon around 6pm. Heavy rains by Glencoe to Redwood Falls, ponding in the farm fields, too much rain at the moment for those areas. Larry is healing, the skin graft they did is amazing in the repair of his arm. Today is day #1 receiving get well greetings from this blog group’s readers. Thank you so much for going above and beyond to someone you do not know, to make them feel better. Thank you all so much!
First time in several days, COMMENT has been available! Good job👏🏼
Ellen’s flowers are beautiful and good luck . Comment are back here also so glad reading the comments is part of the fun.
The flowers are beautiful and the comment button is back for me too! I could still comment a different way but this is so much easier. My son is getting married at the end of July and he decided him and I will do all the flowers. We’ve done a practise run and now are getting together a list of all the flowers we need so we can order them. We will be including white hydrangeas which bit of us have in our gardens. I’ve never done this before neither has he. But it’s an adventure. I’m also making their wedding cake, I’ve made one other wedding cake and I did a practise of their cake already and it’s the easy part. I will send pictures when the big day comes.
Love all the beautiful flowers!
Ellen, your flowers are beautiful, as are all your arrangements. Thanks for sharing with us. My sister-in-law had a cut flower business for many years in Oskaloosa, but retired from that a couple years ago. They even went to the Farmer’s Market every Saturday in Des Moines. It was a great business for them. Good luck in your venture. I’m sure you will do well. Thanks, Mary for sharing all the pictures with us.
Love all the beautiful flower pictures – and the variety! Ellen, much success on your flower business – you have lovely floral arranging skills! Yes, my comment box is back, too!
Mary, I love love the flowers!
Glad the comments are working again, like I told Glenda we’d had 1.3 overnight and it looks like a dark rainy day. Good day to spend sewing and making cards.
Mary, The comment box is back for me also(email) . Very strange. Thank you, Mary, for all your hard work at keeping this blog a going. Love your flowers, Ellen. You have a green thumb. Good luck with your new business. We got 3″ of rain through the night and raining now.
Glenda what city are you close to? We live in the corner of NW Iowa 14 miles from Sioux Falls. We had 1.3 inches and it looks like it will be a dark rainy day. 3 inches is a lot!
Thank you Mary and Thanks for all the encouraging comments. The venture should be fun!
The next season will be lilies of all kinds , which make beautiful bouquets also.
Wow! Ellen’s flowers are just gorgeous! Good luck with your new venture Ellen. Wishing you much success. I would buy from you if I lived closer.
comment is back in email.
The flowers are beautiful! I would love to have a garden like that.
Wow! Beautiful flowers and I love her arrangements. My daughter’s friend has a small business in New Hampshire growing and selling cut flowers and arrangements. She has a lovely way of arranging as well. Today is beautiful here in MA but the rest of the week will be in the 90’s. Not looking forward to that. I’m not sure my old AC unit will keep up with it! Stay cool and hydrated everyone! Jan in MA
Yah! So happy I got the comments back.
Good morning Mary! Thanks for sharing such gorgeous flowers.
Hopefully you and everyone are staying cool. Great day to sew and take it easy.
This is the first time in a while I have been able to comment and Farmer Tim’s wife’s flowers are beautiful. My favorite flower is the peony and hers are gorgeous.
We are expecting temps in the high 90’s so we will be indoors A LOT.
Everyone stay hydrated and as cool as possible
Angie – I didn’t realize some of you still couldn’t leave a comment. You must be online to comment and not on the email. Is that what you did?
Love color in life such ans quilts and fabrics but flowers bring color for a bright spot to every day. I hope Farmers Tim’s wife has a successful business. There is a “flower you pick field” business in our town that is popular and reasonably priced for getting your own bouquet. It was a good way to use a part of a farms land not being farmed.
Just gorgeous💕
Wow! Just gorgeous!
Beautiful flowers!
Congratulations on the comment fix! You are the best, never giving up!
Ellen’s flowers are lovely. I hope her flower business blooms to perfection!
The comment box is back on this post also. Beautiful flowers! I hope she has a successful business.
Gloria – you’re kidding! You can comment off the email? Why, of why, have I lived in misery for two weeks only to have the blog return to normal weeks later? If that’s true it’s almost enough to make me give up.
they are lovely and do not look like a formula !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and t would seem you have fixed it.
Yes, these are beautiful. What a lovely business idea. Ellen, I wish you success in your endeavor.
Farmer Tim’s wife has a green thumb

Beautiful flowers. Wish I could smell them. My sister gave me fresh flowers while I was in the hospital and the first thing the majority of the people did was go smell them. Good luck, Ellen!!
Ellens flowers are so lovely and fresh looking. She will do well, I bet.
I have my comment back too.
Yeah!!
Beautiful! Comment box is back.
Just beautiful!
Yes, comments back in email. I can’t help but wonder how you made that happen? Love all the beautiful flowers!
I never thought of planting succession of my flowers. That would be a great way to flower garden. I’m glad “comments” are back. I was willing to be without them so so I had access to the blog. I do enjoy reading the comments, though. Caitlin was great today. I have tickets for July 5th game.
Carol – you’re going to a Fever game? I’m jealous!
ALL OF A SUDDEN JUST NOW COMMENTS ARE BACK !
A MIRACLE !
🤗👏👏👏👏🥳🎉🎊 beautiful flowers and the comments bar is back.
Those flowers are breathtaking. Thanks for posting them.
Ellen sure does have some beautiful flowers. Thank you for sharing. I love flowers. My iris did not bloom like years in the past. I did have a yellow peony that had 1 blossom. I have planted yellow peonies 3 years in a row and they end up pink. This plant I bought at Costco a year ago and so pleased it was a yellow. My holly hocks last year ended up with a mildew on them. I bought some spray but did not seem to work so I pulled every plant. Guess what this spring they are blooming bigger and better than before. Here I thought I pulled all of them up. Busy week ahead. Oh Ellen, the flowers are beautiful. I know in our area there are several local farm flower growers. They have a wonderful variety and one person offers a subscription plan.with Spring flowers such as daffodils and tulips, iris etc. Then there’s a summer grouping and late summer. You can subscribe to all 3 if you like. Your flowers are looking great and I wish you great success with this business.
