Today is Hazel’s 9th birthday! She had two littermates – I am aware of where one lives – her name is Bayleigh Belle and lives in Colorado where the girls were born.

Happy Birthday Hazel! No, she didn’t look too pleased to wear a tiara and pose. I can’t believe she’s nine. I guess I’ve been following you for a long time because I too remember when you got Hazel.
Last night the “atmospheric river” started which is a fancy term for very heavy rains. I can’t believe how hard it has been raining since about nine last night and we have to put up with this until tomorrow morning. I guess this is better than snow. It’s 45F, so warm for January. I will head to the sewing room today for sure. Thank goodness for hobbies.

Good morning everyone! I’m feeling the January blahs and needed all of these furry pics!! I laughed out loud at some of the names…Betty White, The Three Sisters (my name of them), Tuxedo (my name for the pretty black/white kitty)-I loved the church on the bookshelf and I wrote down the names of some of the books. I would love another cat but out 11 y/o blue heeler might “herd” that poor thing all over the house! The “twins” on the sofa look like mirror images…so pretty! Happy Birthday to Hazel!! She is such a stinker! I wonder how many times a month in the summer that you have to bathe her after digging in the dirt!!
Wondering how your should is doing Mary? Take it easy-we tend to overdo after we get a steroid injection as the pain has subsided. Enjoy this time rehab it if allowed. My husband had 2 rotator repairs and a Reverse Shoulder surgery which seems to have turned out well (after 3 mon. of rehab). Now I’m trying to keep him from overdoing. Let’s get through January by sewing something!!

Hazel is a fine looking birthday girl & I can see that she is not the tiara wearing type. I enjoy all of the cat photos & they bring back lots of memories of the cats who shared my life.
Well, today – Monday the 12th is my birthday. So I will celebrate with Hazel and I don’t think she likes her head gear 😂

Happy Birthday, Joy! I hope you have a wonderful day! Our son was born on January 16 and my husband tells me it was brutally cold that day. He will be 55. Of course, back then, we stayed in the hospital for 3 days. I was glad I didn’t have to be out in that brutal cold.

Love all the cat pix! I think we’ve always had cats since I was 5 and I dearly love them. I love dogs too but have never owned one—we have a grand dog, though. Happy birthday to Hazel—always love to see pictures of and Mortie!
I’m glad Hazel had a good birthday! I enjoyed all the cat photos – such variety. The blue eyes of the one cat were mesmerizing! We once had a wonderful black Lab named Sadie who hated having her photo taken – I had sneak up on her to get one!

I too have so loved the cat pictures and seeing their names which is so cool how owners come up with them. They’re so cuddly and yet so much their own individual personality too. Thank you for the pictures. Hazel must have other more pressing things to do than pose for her birthday photo.
Hope Angie gives us a full report on how her card reading went. I went twice to a spiritual reader and I couldn’t believe how they spoke of a person from our past right down to the cigar smoke and on a Walker. Now how would they know that! It made me think twice about them but my husband wasn’t buying any of it till our daughter played the recording she did of our reading.
I’d love for the reader to tell us more about the log cabins she’s assembling. It looks like three different projects but same colors or scraps? It’s fascinating to me and I love the colors together.

I’m loving the cat pictures. I’ve had many cats in my life, but we don’t have one now. Hopefully we’ll get one after our 2 labs are gone. No way I’m going to try to introduce them to a cat at nearly 12 years old. I don’t think the cat would survive!
My son and his wife have 4 cats and my daughter has 2. So I have 6 grandcats. That will have to suffice for now.

I had to laugh at your trouble getting Hazel to pose for her birthday picture. We had a handsome German shepherd who refused to allow his faced to be photographed. He’d turn and walk in the opposite direction every single time I aimed my phone his way. We had many many pictures of Wylie’s bushy tail, but very few of his gorgeous face.

Happy birthday, Hazel!🎂🎉 I’m amazed at how white she is! I’m thinking she doesn’t want her picture taken? Pretty girl. Even though I don’t have cats, I’m enjoying the beautiful pictures of them. I’ve mostly had dogs due to my husband’s severe allergies. Many years ago we had a beautiful tuxedo cat before we discovered the allergy. I was able to find him a loving home.
Hazel is a dog who thinks for herself and on her own terms. Love seeing pictures of her. Have enjoyed the cat pictures too. We haven’t had any cats for a few years now although we occasionally see the neighbors cats on our property.
