Help Me Again!

Richard and I have been discussing what I should try next so without confusing all of you about the admin page, plugins and themes, I’m going to try something and I’d like you to leave a short comment if you can see the box. I’ll be sitting right here on the porch waiting. 🫣

    never commented before but I like to click on read on blog instead of going to bottom of page and clicking on comments so the blog is displayed larger so I can read it better. No problems lately. Love reading all the news around all the different areas. Enjoy all the pictures.

    Mary, I just read this today. But, I do have a place to comment., AFTER receiving the email, then clicking in the upper right hand corner on Blog.
    Just curious . . I wasn’t having this issue until Cox changed their email server to Yahoo. Was anyone else in that same boat?

      Jan – when all providers start making changes and updates it’s really hard to stay on top of things. I think the blog is ok for now but I’ll clarify things a bit in my next post. I have lots of mowing to get done today.

    I just got home from being gone all day. I always go to your blog to read the email because that is where you can leave a comment. I have never seen that option on the email. So all is working well here as it did in the past. So glad this is behind you. Thanks for you persistence.

    Hi! I went to the blog which is listed at the top of your email. The box is there way down. That is how I can respond. Love all the photos, the flowers, doggies and chickens too! My kitchen is done in chickens.
    Years ago we had a hen house and a brooder house too, Many years ago! Haha
    If your followers can go to the blog, the box for commenting is there💜
    It is very hot and humid here in Southern Illinois.

    Sounds like it is error on the part of the individuals not opening the email to the blog site so they can see the adds and the comment section.

      Lynette – thanks – good to know. Jeanne in CO has been having problems since the post with Sue in it / what can I tell her? Does anyone have any ideas to help Jeanne?

    I still click on the title of the day “Help Me Again!” and go to the blog where I can leave a message at the end of the other comments.

    It is here! Always has been, so looks the same. Maybe highlight in bold or red where it says to,go,to blog at the top of your email so it is more visual.

    Not sure what box I should see – didn’t see it on my email but went to your blog online. There was a box asking me to subscribe som I did. Also only able to leave a comment from the blog site, not from the email.

    I have always been able to comment, BUT I don’t subscribe via email; I use the Feedly blog reader for all the blogs I follow.

    Mary, like some others, I can now read comments if I move from the daily email you send out and read the BLOG version instead. The previous COMMENTS button has not reappeared, but I imagine the LEAVE A REPLY box at the end of the blog post will accomplish the same thing (if you receive this email, you’ll know it worked). Interestingly, all I have said so far applies to reading on my laptop. If I try to read on my Kindle, I still have to visit the BLOG version, but for that one, each comment provides a Reply to Sender box underneath which I imagine would be for a private follow-up question or comment. At the end of the day, though, I have to say that if I’m forced to choose between photos (with labels from the sender) or comments, I’d choose photos.

    I do not see a box nor a way to leave a comment when I’m getting your posts in my email. I can post a comment if I go to your blog. I only see a large yellow rectangle that could be construed as a box but I’m thinking that’s not what you mean by a box.

    Good luck in getting all this ironed out. This shouldn’t be so hard for you.

    There is no comment box on the email. However if I click on a tiny script that says Read in blog, I get the blog with ads and comments. I closed all the ads.

    I get comments only by going to “read on blog” in upper right corner of chicken scratch email. Never had to do that before but it sure is fun/enlightening to the one-sided conversation. Always changing technology drives one crazy! Do I need to unsubscribe to a different setup? Or do you even know an answer to that? I have always gotten blog/comments on email.

    I don’t subscribe to your blog) emails. I go to the chicken scratch country threads website to read your blog. Now, there is the line that says “n replies” (where n is a number of replies (, and clicking on that line brings up the comments and a box to leave a reply.

    That’s the way it normally works, but was not that way earlier today, when the”n replies ” line didn’t appear. I’m reading on my Google phone, id that makes any difference.

    Sorry this is all so frustrating for you!

    I clicked on the title and it takes me to your blog with a bunch of ads I’m deleting and at bottom I can comment 😻. Works for me. You need an “iced tea “ 🤭

    I can only see the box if someone else has left a comment. So sorry the latest upgrade has been such a headache. If it makes a difference, I use a Mac.

    When I clicked on Read on Blog at the top of the email, i was able to comment.
    When I clicked on Country Threads Chicken Scratch in the email, it took me to the blog, but no comment box was available.
    I hope this helps.

    In order to write a comment I have to go to “Read on Blog”. There is no “Comment” button on the email.

      Susan – it seems to be fixed for others – has anything changed on your end?

        Nothing has changed here. It’s really not a problem going to the blog but there definitely isn’t a “Comment” button on the email. I rebooted and it’s still not there. There are others having the same issue as seen on the replies to your “Thank You” email after this one. If I were you I would just leave well enough alone and be thankful it is working for some.

        Mary, mine is the same as Susan’s (in other words I get the email and then need to click on “read on the blog.”). I even turned off/on the phone. I have an android phone. I wonder what Susan has (if that is what she reads it on). Maybe the “problem” now is with the type of phone?

    i also just noticed that once i was at the blog titled ‘help me again’, right underneath that title it says 2 replies. click on that and it takes you to the box to leave a reply. easy peay. please excuse typos. got a new laptop, it’s smaller, type is smaller and i’m having to break in the keyboard. patti in florida

    I got this post thru my email. I got the comment section immediately at the bottom of this post.
    The other msgs from yesterday – I had to click on “Blog” in upper right hand corner in order to get the comment section.
    Does this make any sense ?

    bkiog notice came into email. clicked on email. clicked on ‘help me again’ which took me to the entry on the blog. looked down. there is the ‘leave a reply’ box. you did it. good for you. more later. patti in florida
