Yes, I’ve been having technical issues – again. It is such a helpless feeling because I never know how to fix it. Somebody said I needed a teenager – no kidding!!
This happened just tonight – I lifted Jo out of her bed (I’ve done it the past 3 days) but tonight she stood in front of me for several minutes and looked me in the eye. Two days ago she panicked and cowered in the corner. This definitely is progress.
It’s nice to be missed! All is well – WiFi is working again and I’m going to change servers ASAP which means a new email address for me. Ugh.
I’ll have more time tomorrow – tonight I’m going to watch Bull and then go to bed.
Good news about Jo. Stay safe.
Congrats…your patience and love are paying off! We loveBULL too!
Aw, it looks like Jo is starting to heal.🙏
Look at that beautiful dog standing!!! I am so happy she is feeling safe with all your patience.
Hi Mary, I will give you a suggestion that was given to me. Get a gmail email account and then it doesn’t matter who your service provider is, that email can stay the same. Glad to hear Jo is progressing. Remember slow and steady wins the race as they say.
How wonderful to see Jo standing and looking so adoringly at you. She is beginning to trust you to give her the affection she wants. Mary, you are amazing. God has gifted you with a talent to care for these poor abused dogs. I don’t think you need anyone else to tell you how to bring them back to being happy loving pets….you do well just following your natural instincts. Keep up the good work. And keep those puppy pictures coming.
I smiled so big to see that sweet pooch standing and looking at you. Didn’t she just look a little bit proud of herself? Sooo sweet!
I still see Apprehensiveness in her eyes. But that will pass. She is learning. Time is what she needs, time.

Wow! I believe this is painstaking for you, but given the extraordinary trauma Jo endured in her previous life, you are making exceptional progress together! God bless you both! As I predict, she’ll be in your lap by Christmas! xoxoxo
Jo looks like she is saying, “I did it for you!” That is awesome, Mary. I am so happy she is looking better. Pretty soon she’ll be sitting in your lap:)
Snow today. Our back yard has 12 Blue Spruces all lit up. They are beautiful in the snow:)
How wonderful … wow! I’ve been wondering what her face looked like, & her eyes. 😁 YAY!!! Way to go Mary!!
It’s wonderful to see Jo’s face & those beautiful eyes. She is starting to know she’s safe with you. Hang in there.💕
We’re watching Bull right now!
Jo’s looking up at you like. “Are you really my new momma??” It shouldn’t be too long before she will return your love!!
Hang in there girl!! 😉👍🏻

Mary, that is a wonderful improvement with Jo. thank you for your patience.
I am working on some small wool mats for Christmas presents.

So glad Jo is responding!!!
Thanks for sharing this wonderful moment, Mary. I was worried something bad had happened; so glad you are all ok. 🥰
WOW! So happy she is letting you pick her up and now she is pleading with you. Those eyes are amazing, still look sad but she is looking at you…long enough to have her picture taken!! PTL!! She will soon be wagging her tail when she sees you coming! Se looks so sweet. Great accomplishment, Mary!!
Hoping you had a nice Thanksgiving! Great weather that day.
How nice to see her up and standing. And looking at you! What a pretty girl she is!
Mary, you are so patient with Jo and this blog. Bless you.
She’s beautiful…she let you pick her up, take her picture. She knows, she is just hesitant, to give you her heart. It has been hurt, in time she will let you in. You are an angel.
Rub her ears for me.
She is such a beautiful dog. It grieves me no end that someone abused her so heinously. God bless you for loving her.
How glorious to see Jo’s beautiful face!
Good job Mary! You are so patient and kind. What a dear heart you have. God bless you!

Wonderful about Jo! She is learning not all humans are awful like her last unfortunate pieces of crap that had her.
Oh those eyes! Beautiful. She’s saying she will keep working on a together relationship if you will too. Fantastic progress. You’re Jo’s guardian angel.
How nice to see Jo standing and waiting for you, she is such a sweet dog and lucky to have landed in your care. Just a suggestion but when you go to your new server, pick a email that is gmail and not attached to your server name. Many people make the mistake of going with the name your internet server gives you such as ????@comcast.com or ????@att.net instead make one that is ????@gmail.com that way when you change servers you can take your email with you and you wont have to change your personal email address. I hope this helps you. Its snowing in TN, how strange for us to be this cold and have snow so early in the season. It wont last but it sure is pretty. Hope my pansies make it.
OMG! I can’t believe she is posing for you. She is absolutely precious. I pray she continues to trust you and gain confidence. You are a true angel, dear Mary. You will be repaid ten thousand times over.
Progress for Jo and Mary! YAY!! Hang in there! I like Bull too!
Jo is a beautiful dog. We have a beagle-mix with those same beautiful eyes. She still looks a little apprehensive, but what wonderful progress. You are so patient and kind. Just what she needs.
Morning Mary, looked at the picture of Jo three times and I think there is trust being established now.
You are a saint or close to it.
My latest endeavors are trying to make sourdough bread items. Very much a trial and error. I am trying to be like the pioneer women and knead the dough by hand. There are so many gadgets to help with the process. Who knew there was a thermometer that measures the internal temp. Only $103. Not there yet for that.
Ordered a 25 days of Christmas box from Missouri Star Quilts and today is day 1. Inside the wrapped package is a pattern for an Easy Zippered Pouch and two fancy 14 inch zippers. So fun.
Later today I will enjoy one of the wines from a 24 days of wine box.
It is a year of keeping yourself a little happy. Quilting is one of them.
Be safe
Such good news…. you have so much patience.
Jo is going to be just fine. What that poor thing must have endured is not to be imagined. I find myself thinking of her often and I so admire what you are doing. Be still.💕
Such wonderful progress with Jo. I am happy for both of you. I have missed you and your experiences but I think of the computer sometimes as a reward and sometimes my worst nightmare. Hope your computer will become your reward as we consider your email as our reward.
Tickled pink to see Jo’s progress!!
Oh, what a sweet picture! I’m so happy for both of you. Just looking at you. What a small thing, and yet it is such a big thing. She’s so pretty too.
Congratulations to both of you!
Mary I rarely comment but I read all your posts. Loved following the puppies and now love seeing your progress with Jo! This is so heartwarming!
Jo is trusting you! I know she loves you and is showing it in little steps. She is learning that she doesn’t have to be “invisible”. Like Teresa, I was going to suggest a gmail account for your email.
Have a good day. December….hard to believe…
So happy for Jo and you! Been busy decorating and now today making a Dried Apple Stack Cake for my sisters birthday tomorrow, it is our favorite cake!! Paula in KY
OMGness! I am SO excited about Jo! I just love reading about her and keeping up with her daily progress. That pup is very blessed to have you as her human! THANK YOU for caring.
So glad to hear there is progress with Jo!!!!!
Progress, even by inches, is still progress! Yay!! I’m sorry about your techie issues, there’s nothing more frustrating for me.
Ron said you are a dog whisperer!
What progress!
Reads Ks – tell Ron thank you! I hope by the time Jo is up and running around I will deserve the title. Wonder if I can part with her at that time however. I have to keep reminding myself she’s a “foster” dog.
Oh Mary! So happy that Jo is trusting you enough to let you lift her up, let alone stand there for a picture! She is a pretty girl. Those eyes! Wish I could give her a hug! Sorry about your server problems, that must be so frustrating. It’s unseasonably warm here in MA, we had wicked wind yesterday and last night. Many people lost their power but we were lucky this time. Our power stayed on. We do have someone’s gutter in our yard though, blown in by the wind! Calm today and really warm out there! So strange. Like all of 2020, a strange year. I cannot wait for the email from you saying that Jo is running around outside with Hazel and Telly! Jan in MA
Oh my goodness this picture of the dog is just amazing! Your patience is working!! You can still see in her eyes she is still wondering if it’s truly safe, but major, major progress!!! Doesn’t it just make your heart so happy!!! And the Iowa, Iowa State games were great wins. Then Minnesota and Kansas City were also nail-biters! So behind on Dirty Dozen projects. Mine will be late, but they’re coming!! I’m determined! Getting projects quilted is challenging as I’m not creative with that aspect of quilting.
Thank you for all you are doing for Jo. Getting out my Christmas decorations. So many things I have made over the years. Going to get it all out. Can’t bear to part with anything. Love making more too.
Be still.
Oh my goodness! She is so precious! Her eyes are gorgeous! You are doing such a great job! She is going to be the best and most beautiful dog of all times!
Wonderful news on Jo. She has a look in her eyes that she is wanting to trust you. great progress.
It is true that you do need a teenager in the home to help with all technology. My granddaughter is my personal IT tech and she is very patient with me.
Stay safe and healthy
I live with technical issues, I have a son who is an engineer for ATT and a grandson who is majoring in computer science but they are so busy I am on my own. I’m so happy about Jo, way to go.
Oh, I’m so happy to see & hear that Jo has made this much progress in the last few days! Yay! 👏🏻👍🏻💕🐾🤗
So nice to see her sweet face! She looks hopeful to me.
