Saturday Sale

For those of you living in North Iowa, here are the details of the sale we’ve been sewing for.  The Garner Spring Vendor Market is this Saturday from 9 am – 1 pm at the USDA building on Hwy 69 just south of the Garner Inn.

All of these succulents are going to be for sale, too.  If you’re planning on purchasing plants, could you bring a box to take them home in?  Or a basket or something to set the pots into rather than a bag.

Bentley arrived this morning for a weeks stay and this time he brought his bed with him.  Guess who loves his bed and he doesn’t really know what to think about it.

I am smitten with that little face!

Bentley – not so much!  Ha!

Bentley is probably a gentle soul so he will share his bed? Good luck with the sale; I really wish I lived closer. I passed Hazel all around the Thursday Sewing group today; everyone loves her:)

Sure wish I could come to your sale on Saturday, but alas, since I live in Oregon I’m too far away. 🙁
I love the little flag pillow and the blue and brown squares quilt beneath it. (drool, drool).

Love to see all the pics of the critters. One cuter than the next. Years ago, we had yet another stray cat in our shed. This guy was a mess – compound fractures of his leg, matted fur with weeds and blood and a skull injury. He was terrified and would not let anyone near him. We live in northern WI, so he needed a warm shelter. So we made a warm, safe place in the shed, delivered high protein warm, wet food twice a day and started moving the food a few inches closer to the house every day. He arrived in October and in March we finally got him into the back porch for a meal, and then a trip to the vet. Eleven years later, he is the sweetest kitty ever and happily lives in the house. I’m sure you will be able to win the sweet barn kitty’s trust eventually. Good luck on your sale tomorrow.

Jan – how did that kitty survive all winter with broken bones, etc! Amazing!

Be careful what you wish for….You realize that when Bentley decides he likes Hazel he will lick her so much she’ll be wet all the time. :)))

Once Bentley gets over the shock of “someone is on my bed” he may give Hazel a lesson in sharing.

I wish I lived closer because I’d be picking out plants! And giving Hazel some hugs!!

Hazel is so sticking cute!! Poor Bentley….the pups are hard on the old guys. Our 2 girls were 11 when we added our pups and I just know they were wondering…when is she getting rid of these guys?! They get along great because the older ones sleep through the ruckus. Wish I was closer to shop the sale but have fun.

Hi Mary…Hazel is so cute. I do luv the flag pillow. Just curious how many quilt books do you have on the shelves? Your home seems a perfect setup for family and animals. The barn animals are fun to read about. Thanks for taking the time to share your busy days…

Hope your sale goes super well and you sell everything. Hazel is sooo precious. Good choice. I bet she loves you just as much as you love her. How big will she get?

I don’t know where you find time to quilt when you have all these dogs coming and going, plus your farm animals! More power to you. Share your time management tips. Lol😂😂😂

I really wish I could be in Iowa for the sale. I suppose it’s wishful thinking that the brown blue piece will not sell and you will let me purchase it. We don’t have any wonderful sales like that here in my area..

My husband is working in Forest City, IA – and he was just telling me about some quilt thing going on this weekend… LOL… I keep telling him that he would stay there for a weekend…. so I can come visit Iowa…. LOL… ( think he knows I just want to wander the quilt shops?) I hope your sale goes well…. we will be waiting for a report.

Hazel should go to the sale and sell hugs – huge profit!
I see a new bed for Hazel in the near future.
