I know I got a card from a reader who works at Mayo but I can’t find it. Please contact me via comment, text or email.

good morning everyone, i am going to reply on this one because the entry for 8/4 will not let me reply. thank you to everyone again for sending in photos of your sewing areas. i always come away with a new idea of how to do something. i noticed that bonnie has even put small notes on some of her yardages that shows amounts. i can see where that would be useful. i remember ages ago writing that info in the selvedge area but you couldn’t see that without pulling the fabric out. much better idea.
as i was scrolling down, i saw a quilt and thought someone did one like mine, it was mine. idiot. must have been really tired. the one with the polka dot border i called ‘splash island’. pattern called for all 2.5 x 4.5″ pieces, but i had some beachy, florida type squares to use (4.5″) so put them in the center, when i ran out i used neutral squares. thought about using for my son but was afraid it wouldn’t work. naturally it is the one he really likes, so may have to rethink and make a larger one. it was very very easy. can’t remember where i saw it but was super easy and quick.
the ispy was done just working with what was on my sewing table, all 4.5″ squares. decided it didn’t need a border, just a binding, should make someone happy picking out objects.
was fun to see another ‘red’. the garden type pictures are always beautiful to me. the hummingbird next was interesting. don’t think i’ve ever seen one.
prayers going out to all who need them. condolences to linette on the loss of her son in the middle of her own medical problems. hoping this coming week will bring answers to mary in her health search. also hoping my back doc comes up with a way to get rid of these back spasms.
my sunny florida has no sun yet today. tropical storm debby is out there so we are under tornado watches for the day. seems a bit windy and we’ve had rain squalls off and on already. expect to miss the worst of it but you never can tell. we could use the rain but don’t want it all at once.
happy quilting to all, patti in florida

Hi Mary- I’m so glad you have appointments set up at Mayo and yet so disappointed in their treatment of you so far. We have always had top notch care there but also felt like minnows in a huge ocean. Sending you lots of prayers and healing vibes for answers and a forward plan! I have really enjoyed seeing all the sewing spaces. Most are jam packed with sewing treasures like yours and mine.
