I have so little to say tonight – it’s a shock, I know, but church, a couple visitors this afternoon and a bit of sewing tonight is my whole day.
From Moe Bailey:

And this great cartoon:

No branch, leaf or twig can be too small to throw either – I’ve tried to convince Hazel that I can’t throw a leaf for her to retrieve! She is not convinced.

Many years ago, our Victoria’s Secret used mannequins with the evergreen skirts. After Christmas, I saw the skirts in the dumpster and nabbed them. I used them outside for years. After the flood they got discarded. I too love the decorating pics, not much at my house this year, I had surgery, not being to energetic yet.
Dee – they threw them away??? I’m so glad you nabbed them. Nothing wrong with taking it easy for awhile.
Mary, Merry Christmas to you and all your critters!! I love reading your blog every morning with my coffee! I appreciate all the work you do for us to enjoy!! Thank you!! You are loved!!
Great pictures and cartoon. I love the dog pyramid placing a star on the tree! So cute! Wonder where I could find one . . if that’s still possible.. The dress form decorated is very clever. Merry three days before Christmas!
Socializing can be exhausting!
Loved the cartoon. And it is so true. You got lots of LOL I bet with that one.
I got the long arming done o n a quilt and have almost finished all of the pin cushions I was making. Sure “drug” out those two projects. It’s gonna be in the 60s for Christmas Day! What? No snow! So a brown out for us in SW Iowa.
We all have days that not much is going on. I call it a day of rest.
Workers are coming today to install my mantle and hearth, so one day closer to completion.
I only have the grands today, then they are at mom or dads for the rest of the week.
Spent yesterday at Brass Armadillo and I only spent $40! Must be a record for me!
Trying to figure what I want to start on New Years Day. My brain is on overload this week, so maybe after Christmas I can try again.
We are having 50’s and 60’s this week but I’m sure you are a bit cooler with snow pack? Jim says he’s going to mow leaves on Christmas Day. Goofy men and their toys…
Elliot just arrived and he says Good Morning Miss Mary!
Diana. – oh, it’s been years since I’ve been at the Brass Armadillo! Such a great antique mall. We all can’t wait to see your new fireplace!
Just want to wish you a Merry Christmas. Keep posting, look so forward to all your post.. you are so loved by so many. You lift us up, give us info snd tips on quilting, gardening, houseplants, and life in general, you have no idea .. Thank you so much
I’m behind on commenting. All the pictures of Becky with Mortie and Hazel are so cute. It’s obvious that Becky is loved.
I too am in awe of the hooked rugs on the step risers. I also do rug hooking so am appreciative of all the work that went into this project. Outstanding.
Love the dress form Christmas tree. I have a form in my sewing room that I have my late Aunt’s dinner jacket displayed on. I’ve been passing up dress forms to buy but am thinking this would be a fantastic project for next year. Merry Christmas everyone from my house to yours.
Gloria – that dressed up dress form is right up your alley!
😊
I, too, have enjoyed the Christmas pictures. I’ve been so busy finding places to move stuff to so my company coming will have a comfortable place to stay. Between finishing longarm jobs, getting ready for Christmas, and organizing my stuff…I’m exhausted.
It’s been cold and very windy, I’ve even tried to give my little bushes a drink of water.
We’ve had wind gusts hitting the 100mph, and grass fires. My friends were told to evacuate. They called to ask if they could stay with me. Thankfully, the wind shifted and their homes were ok.
Christmas is this week…Merry Christmas to all.
Jo – oh no! Your friends must have been in the path of a fire? And then you have overnight company coming? Too much for me – and you’re longarming in the middle of it all?
Loving all the Christmas pictures. We’re having a brown season in the 4-Corners area & I really appreciate all of the decorations.
