Some really great college basketball games today!!
I have a full and happy houseful of dogs this week – I still have Moe, plus Keeper and Hazel and today I added Hank.

March Madness will be here soon – I’d better find the blocks I worked on last year during March Madness. I like to devote all my basketball viewing time to one specific project during these few weeks.

Mary and blog followers, I dislike the time change as well. I have pondered if the ‘politicians’ would foll9w our wishes, to leave the time alone, which time zone change would we do. I support leaving the time at Central Standard Time. Just leave things alone. This was done for factory workers during the war, I hear, and golfers so they can have a longer day. I say they can adjust accordingly. There is nothing worse than forced-change and the older I get the more I dislike it. My vote is central time, all year around.
Oh Mary you are so lucky to have all those wonderful pups at your house. I love love love animals. All the work they generate and everything. They are straight up people in my world.
When I was working, I hated walking into/out of work in the winter darkness. Now, it doesn’t matter to me which we are on, but still dislike the time changing. SO many clocks, we’ll be finding one needing changed for at least a week. And the cats don’t comprehend meal time changes. We’ll not discuss GD’s mood this morning regarding the time change.
Since half the population would be upset no matter which system was picked to stay on (not likely to happen), I say put the time half-way between and leave it alone (even less likely to happen). Make everybody mad. There are places in the world that are running on a half hour difference.
I hate the time change too. Seems like an unnessessary rig-a-ma-rol to go through twice a year. It’s still dark out as I type this and yesterday it was very llght at this same time. I would rather have more light on the morning end.
I have always heard that Presidents make the decision and if they are golfers, they prefer DST because they can golf longer. So, okay then. Just keep it on Daylight Time and we will adjust only once!
Once upon a time, they were talking about DST. We had a big railroad contingent in our community (Duluth Minnesota) who weren’t changing because other states weren’t changing. It was a mess then also. It doesn’t matter what happens, someone will complain.
The news just reported it is ‘national nap day’ so I guess we all have to take a nap – my hubby jumped on board and is back in bed now.
Here’s hoping your weather is nice and the sun is shining. Have a great Monday everyone.
It looks like Moe’s and Hankster enjoy spending time with you also! ❤️ I do not like the time change. Indiana didn’t used to follow suit, but they sure do now. My card will be in the mail today. Have a good week everyone!
Teresa – will you email me an update on Jasper?
DST – hmmmm 🤔for us in OH it has changed over the years and now its only a few months. I’m not a fan but they won’t be listening to my opinion 🤣
Absolutely LOVE March Madness – have been filling out a bracket for decades and have some much fun. The first round, I binge on TV amd make some fun snacks. I make it a staycation and dont do any work.
Love the dog photos- what fun to have a house full of dogs!
I love daylight savings time and wish we could stay on it year round. I think the lighter afternoons are safer for the students walking home after school as a lot of parents drop their children off in the mornings anyway. And I love having the extra light in the evening after I get off work because I sure can’t do anything with it in the mornings.
Colleen, Linda and Sharon, thank you so much for your comments and recommendations.
Currently the vet (here in Australia) recommends a rubber tipped applicator (open Evelyn’s mouth, insert and pull the trigger. ) aiming for the back of her mouth. Takes a couple of seconds so hope this does the trick to deliver the tablet. I will discuss your recommendations with him. Cheers
I do not like the time change. When I was growing up in the 50’s, it must have been decided locally. I remember my dad worked at Caterpillar in Peoria, which was on dst, but our town was on standard time. My mom had two clocks! 😳
The dogs are so cute.
Take Care 🥰
No daylight savings if I could have it my way! My body works better on standard time. Guess we don’t have a say in it though
Beryl, I too have given which time world work better. I agree with keeping our time on Standard Time. I wish our pathetic representatives could get this decided in favor of no time change, keep it as it was…Standard Time. We need better representation!
I am NOT a fan of Dayight Savings Time! I wish they would just leave our time alone. But my precious daughter-in-law loves it because it gives her more daylight after work, so I’m glad for her. In a couple of weeks I won’t know the difference, probably. Four dogs!!! Your idea of heaven!!!!!
I’m not a fan of time change period!
They talk about it twice a year like they’re going to do something but here we are again. What does it take for it just stay one way or the other? Is it something that we vote on or can the government just make the decision? Seriously though, I wish it would just stop changing.
On a lighter note, I have been in my sewing room for few days…..what treasures I found 😊 I have found projects to finish and projects to start. I got excited all over again. Really everyone’s sewing room is the gift that keeps on giving ♥️
Enjoy your extra fur babies! Hugs to Hank! I just love seeing him. What a handsome fella! Take care.
I like dst. After 3 days everything feels normal.
Between the snow and d wind our PBS station isn’t coming in very well tonight. I hope it clears up soon.
Hi Mary, l like day light saving as l am an early bird, and early to bed too. Often I go to bed 8pm to read for an hour to cope with getting up at 5.30 because l enjoy reading the paper with several cups of tea! Take care everyone, best wishes from Sandy
Here in Arizona, and Hawaii, we don’t change time. Guess we get enough sunshine to not need Daylight Saving Time. 🤪
I lived in AZ for 28 years and never knew what time it was in the rest of the country. And the Navajo nation was on dst, adding to the confusion. Now that I’m back in CT, confusion reigned as my telephone said one thing, my iPad said another. Make it all the same, one way or the other.
Instead of the hour change 2 times a year just alter it 30 minutes and leave it alone!😊. Both standard and daylight fans could live with that. 50/50 compromise
My dad, an Iowa farmer, hated Daylight Savings Time. He said his hogs and cattle couldn’t tell time and they had to be fed at the same times every day, no matter what the time the clock said it was. Also, if the “sun was up” he had to be in the fields and if he needed something from town he needed it no matter what time the clock said it was even though his suppliers changed when they opened and closed shop according to the clock, not the time. I am retired, don’t garden, the cats eat when I feed them, and the sewing machine works when I turn it on! So I really don’t care one way or the other. Enjoy the games and happy stitching.
LOL! Your comment reminded me of my dad. We lived on a farm and had hogs, chickens and cattle. We had dairy cows and my dad said what your dad said…cattle can’t tell time. The dairy cows came to the milking barn at milking time.
I hate the time change part. I wish they would leave it one way or the other!
Beautiful weather!
Thanks for your blog Mary!
YAY!! It is March Madness!! Let the bracket filling begin!! The time change is a twice a year is such a useless ritual, please just pick one and stick with it, please??
