It was a porch cleaning day and a bit more raking and I’m exhausted.

I love the blog, too, Mary. 7:00AM is coffee and blog, with Buddy nudging for petting which he does get in large amounts! Shock—our daughter and our son’s financee want to learn to quilt! I am going to have them pick 3 —1 yard cuts of coordinating fabric and teach them a simple 3 Yard quilt😺😺. Fun!! The photo of Squeak was taken on Monday.; it was so cold and rainy/dreary I turned on the fireplace for her ( and me😀)! A Bullseye quilt may be in the works again, too. I still see Nick Schfrin’s of PBS News on his couch now and then. Take care all.

Today’s Bullseye quilts are just amazing. I like the corner feature on the first one.
Adorable was the first word that came to mind for me, as well, when Mr Magoo popped up.
Precious Angel is missed every day-so sorry.
Squeak looks so comfy all snuggled down in bed. I love watching cats sleep.
Connie R, sorry about your project complications. I hope it works out for you.
Jeanine, I enjoyed hearing about your productive little sewing group.
Thanks so much for this blog, Mary. 🥰

Thank you Jeanie.

Thanks Jeanine. I think I’ll just finish the quilt and not overthink it. Good lesson to make a sample block to check the size. I’ll remember next time.

I understand how tired you must be from the yard work. I did some myself yesterday and, had a heck of a time getting out of the recliner afterwards. Lots of muscle aches but, feeling ok today.
I’m working on one of those quilt projects that has been giving me problems left and right. After sewing all 25 of the 16 patches together, I measured and they were 1/2 inch too small.( My problem for not measuring after sewing the first one. ) Now I’m having to do some recalculations before adding the other blocks to the design. Too far in to scrap it now so, hopefully it works out in the end.

Beautiful Bulls-eyes! It is so fun to see how different they all are. I really want to make another, this time with brighter colors. I’m quilting mine right now – started years ago and stalled on the backing. Finally found a piece of fabric that I had left over from years ago to use as a backing after seaming it to make it big enough. Then it sat waiting to be basted, for months! I saw a youtube video on using Elmer’s glue to baste the sandwich, it worked great! So now I’m learning how to free hand quilt it. I will be so glad to have this finished. I’m so sorry for the loss of little Angel, but she lived a good long life! Such a cutie. And Mr. Magoo, adorable little guy. I hope you recover quickly from your raking and cleaning, Mary! Jan in MA

I know what you mean by exhausted. I spent another entire day on yard work. Will it never end? I am ready for bed by 9 p.m. on days like this. I remember when my father would fall asleep at 9 p.m. I thought, “wow”, but now I am there on busy days. Be careful what we think of our elders, for we shall get there too, God willing.

I just got home from meeting with my little sewing group today. We have started putting away more quilts for the hospital. I have two more to quilt on my longarm. For only having 5 people working together, we do get a lot done, but sew at home now rather than when we meet. We just get backs and batting ready for our flimsy tops when we meet. We meet at a little house by a church here in town. They are so kind to let us meet there once a month, and we have one closet and a linen closet we use for our supplies.
It’s cool here today, but the sun is shining. It is suppose to get to the high 70’s/low 80’s this weekend. I am ready for that kind of weather. That is perfect for me.
Take care everyone, and thanks again, Mary, for your blog. I always enjoy all the pictures and comments every time I get your email. Have a great day.

I have really enjoyed seeing all those beautiful bull’s eye quilts. They are certainly giving me ideas and inspiration to make one of my own bull’s eye quilt. To everyone who sent a pic of theirs, thanks!!!
